Default TR224 cam + TSP LT Headers + tune = 353/350 rwhp/rwtq!!??

After having my car laid up in the shop for 7+ weeks I walked away with 353/350 at the wheels...car has been tuned and everything. Needless to say I was anoyed with the length of time but that plus extra costs from the tuner (unexpected issues ) and a host of problems I only end up with this

99 C5 coupe - MN6 (56k miles)
TR224 (224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA)
TSP LT headers
No cats
Corsa Pace Car exhaust
Blackwing CAI
AFR ~13 on the whole rev range
=354/354

FYI - Baseline SAE with Blackwing and Corsa was 310/322

Any thoughts on what my deal is? Dyno sheet coming shortly, camera battery is dead and I'm at work

.................................................. .............................EDIT - UPDATE w/ graphs............................................ ..................
cam package came with new comp 918 springs, hardened pushrods

Below are the dyno graphs...it doesn't seem to me that there is any valve float going on but check them out.

SAE corrected numbers:

uncorrected cam/header #s vs. baseline:

the graphs don't seem to show any valve float and the shop had issues with the plugs cause it was running way rich when I first was having issues but the plugs "should" be new or atleast have all the carbon around the electrode burnt away now that it's running clean

hit me straight cause I know this doesn't look right

what's wrong with my car

that does seem alittle low. what kind of dyno was it? if it was a mustang dyno and you have an A4, it wound sound alittle more realistic. sucks to hear that it took you almost 2 months to get your car back. id seriously look for another shop next time. good luck.

Get the LS6 intake on there, that should help.

Hopefully there is a problem holding you down some power and TQ.

Car has a nice lope at idle and screams at WOT, it sounds awesome and is fun to drive just thought that I'd see a bit more after all the money and hastle
What RPM did you run the engine to? Also, did you install better springs and pushrods? (I'd assume yes, but never hurts to ask).

Before going FI, I dynoed my TR224 at 375/363 SAE. I think the torque number you have is a product of having no cats (I kept mine). As for the HP.... either valve float, you didn't wind the engine out enough (I spun mine to 6800RPM when it was NA on the cam), or you have a spark/air prob limiting the HP. I'd make sure all the plugs are in tight and that one of the wires isn't burnt on the header. A LS6 intake might make a difference too.

Hope this helps.

will help?? , come on we r not gonna lie at him to make him feel beter. the truth that he will still expereince a lack of power withit or without it, there is something wrong for sure. I would start looking at minor things like gas pedal sticking, check if the TB opens all the way..etc. if nothing worked do a compression test. However, I am still making more power than him and still have ls1 intake. and stock 100% engine.

Ls6 intake?
you're really not that bad. you dont have heads and your at 350 at the wheels with cam and header swap. dont look at peak, look at the gains all through the band.

most 224,ls6intake, heads put around 390-410rwhp.

ya there's a problem there... you need to relook over things with most likely the cam install....

224/ls6 intake/ls6 ported heads/lt's got me 430/419

your going to have a little more drivetrain loss since you have a vette compared to an F-bod.add an ls6 intake and your looking at another 10 to at most 15hp.the numbers do seem a little low,but take it to the track, that's the real dyno.

I'd check over that camshaft install when you get time. The headers made nearly that power in a magazine swap article we did coming up next month

Underdrive pully & ls6 intake will put the #'s up where they should be.

I think something is definitely wrong. Ya'll need to quit telling him more mods will help, and adress the problem at hand. A lot of people have very close to those numbers with just bolt-ons. He is bolt-ons + decent cam, that should = ~370/375.

Like prostock said, start with the little things, plugs, wires, tb, etc...hopefully you find something...

I don't think his #'s are that low. With the TR224 cam, I did 366rwhp with a fast 78. I added the SLP underdrive pully and went up to 382rwhp.

40hp is normal for a Cam like that and missing some bolt-ons. You dyno'd low before the Cam too which indicates thats what the motor has got.Not everyone has the magic motor.

Put on an underdrive pulley and LS6 intake. That should be good for 20-30rwhp.

As for the headers putting out the same HP. No ****,we've all got those magic cars come into our shops every once in awhile but most cars look like the one posted here
