That is a Mustang Dyno. They dyno every car based on the weight in the software. So really it did not hurt your numbers. All Mustang dynos read a little lower since they account for weight and wind resistance vs. a dynojet that just uses a drum for inertia in which case weight and wind are not factored. I heard there is a configuration out there for the MD that makes it read like a dynojet though. But most do not use it as it is a better tuning tool the way it comes.

I weighed the car on the scales at Maple Grove, and it came up 3900lbs on the nose. I will be at Atco possibly on Saturday. I can weigh it again there. I weigh 250lbs. I'll post when I get it dynoed again.

I was not aware that rockers would make you no longer stock internal. Seemed like one of the first bolt on mods to do back in my Mustang days.

The last time I went to the track, they had a scale there. With me in it the car wieghed a whopping 3599lbs. At that time I was only weighing in at 175.

My 99 ws6 t/a m6 weighs 3770 with me (220) and a half tank of gas with no weight reduction.

Rockers aren't bolt-ons and 400rwhp 100% legitimately with only bolt-ons ain't happening. Some people don't make that with a cam. I agree there are freaks, but there comes to a point where it's just not happening. Nice car though

My car made 341rwhp with just a lid and thermostat (stock 3.42's), everyone was confused including myself, most stock ls1's dyno around 310 or lower down here. I think that 400rwhp may be possible with bolt-ons and a tune. But I don't think i'd consider rockers a bolt on.

Even if your car did make that much... you're pulling the remaining 60rwhp from....headers and a pulley?

People are happy to hit 400 with a TR224 and boltons. It's not gonna happen with just boltons.

Even with rockers and lets say a ZO6 cam, it's not going to happen.

Peace,

Those numbers are believable.

My '02 dynoed 340rwhp, 356rwtq at a dyno day @ New England Dyno.

Car had 3" hooker Catback, Granatelli MAF, and a lid/filter. No tune.

As for rockers being a bolt one. I guess a procharger is too. LOL.

A basic rule of thumb - if oil is touching it, it's internal. Most the other mods can be considered bolt ons. Of course a self contained procharger setup "bolts on". But nobody would ever try and pull that card out

I've never stopped to think about it. But CLOSE to 400 ponies may be achievable. I would think an electric water pump would also need to be thrown on there to come close. Definately a strong car if it is indeed 100% factory.

Those 4.10s will skew the dyno #s as well...

Block maybe, heads... definately not.

Ain't happening with an LS1 powered Fbody. Jason from Thunder got 390ish with an LS6 cam, but then again his cars always dyno well.

i have full bolt ons and a f13 cam and with the 4:10 gears i still only dyno'd at 399/385. However now I do have a z06 MAF and 3:73 gears, so im sure id break the 400 mark now. But i think it would be impossible to break 400wrhp with only bolt ons.

Thats wierd ..

Theres a local guy/gal in town who own a 02 SOM Ws6, and they have less mods than you tuned, and it runs consistant 12.1's @ 114-116.. M6 and slicks , full weight with just longtubes, lid ,wires and Tr55's . I know the guy personally so if he did anything i would know . He says when they bought the car at Elk grove pontiac, ... They told him it was one of the "few" that has ls6 motors in it, but he also has 241 castings in it. go figure. I duno, But i think your in the same boat as him. Strong running cars though..

And who cares, go for 400 stock cam... If you hit it , awesome congrats, If not .Dont get bent over it . Just put in a cam and hit 415

i don't know if you can get there or not, but lightening up the drivetrain a tremendous amount would sure help. go lightest flywheel/clutch you can get, lightest driveshaft, lightest gears and diff in rear, lightest axles, hubs, discs, wheels, tires....

some of these help more than others, and they all seem like pretty costly replacements to gain such small amounts to the ground, but they would help and are not "internal" engine parts....

also run thinner oil's in motor, tranny, and rear diff to gain that extra pony or two during dyno pulls (i know this seems dumb but i guarantee it would free up at least a few hp). this is only if your looking for dyno # bragging rights. i wouldn't run thinner stuff on the street.

I checked the head casting numbers. 241. Also its not an Ls6 block, no bullseye present.

Also, I just installed a lightweight flywheel (Chrome-moly) and Spec 4 cluch. The ET and mph numbers above were just after I got the clutch in.

I personally dont care for EWP's on stock cars. Just a personal preference thing. I will get on a dyno this week. This should get interesting depending on the numbers it spits out.

I am also going back to the track very soon with a full slick as tryin to leave on the 17inch dr's with this clutch setup is almost impossible with a stick.

I'm 99% sure 9ball's 35 aniversery car laid down 345 rwhp bone stock with stock paper filter after a tune. 55rwhp is a bit to pick up stock internals, but there are a lot of things that could be thrown in the mix:

FTRA (with a big fan in front of the car on the dyno)
Filter
Lid
Bellow's
90mm FAST
90mm TB
Electric water pump
Pulley
Good headers (Kook's, QTP's to name a couple HVMC style)
Dual electric cut outs
Good tune
As mentioned light drivetrain parts.

Might not make 400rwhp but I bet it's up there.
