Default lowest hp cam car

well I went to the dyno the other to get my car tunned it went alright I was hoping for like 20-25 more at the wheels but hey whatever. 338.65 hp and 332.5 torque, it's going though an auto and COLLEGED cats (now replaced) only real mods are lid and hot cam W/ hp tunner. I will say we started the pull from 3000 rpm and the damn car almost made its full power from there all the way to about 6400. so it has a very good power band. we tunned it for the N02 but didn't make any runs yet. I think I will go back with the new cats on.

Wow get those cats off now. Do you have the other supporting mods such as LT's?

Get a set of longtubes on that thing, I put down 355rwhp in my old automatic hot cam car. You should be right around that # with a set.

that was me...

those headers are awesome and only 340 shipped brand new. they tuck almost too nice. they are kinda close to the floorboard. only took 10 minutes to get them in position from under the car.

orangefun- don't be down about the numbers, that dyno is notorious for having comparibly low #s. i bet you'll put 10more hp down at another dyno.

I used to have a Hot-Cam and 3200 stall with Shorty headers and Cats. The car made 320 wheel and i switched to Lt's, X-pipe and 1 chambers and the car Dyno'd 350rwhp and 380rwtq. It made a real change!

Chris: Actually that dyno has "realistic" #'s where as alot of dynos are very "optimistic".

You put down 442 rwhp SAE on that dyno which were KILLER #'s...

I would guess those cats were costing you decent amount of power since they were so clogged they would rattle like crazy while the car idled, also it sounded like they were causing an exhaust leak before them from backpressure....

Put headers on that car and expect approx 350-360 rwhp realistically

Pacesetter headers tuck in pretty nice IMO. Look into those. Pretty cheap too.

Yeah I hear ya Iam only making 334rwhp and 327 rwtq with a 224 cam. I guess i should invest in a set of headers too then.
