Default Vengeance Racing 416 Stroker Preliminary DYNO Results

Here is another one of our "over inflated" Dyno results threads....

This package belongs to a local customer/board member "SlowETz"

Vehicle is a 2000 Pontiac WS6
Modifications Include:

Vengeance Racing 416 Shortblock-Callies/CompStar/Diamond/HellFire/ARP
TrickFlow 225cc Cylinder Heads-Box stock Milled to 64cc
Vengeance Racing Custom Camshaft 253/253 .596/.596 112( For now )
Harland Sharp Roller Rockers
FAST 90mm (Ported by Vengeance)/Nick Williams 90mm TB
Stock MAF (Descreened)
Whisper Airbox/Stock Paper Filter
Mezierre Electric Waterpump
Kooks 1 7/8x 3 Longtubes
3" True Duals
Vengeance Baseline Program 28*/12.8AF

Power Robbing DriveTrain Consists of

Th400 with Yank 3800 converter
3" Steel Driveshaft
Moser 12 bolt w/4:56s/HD Posi
Bogarts w/ 28" ET Streets

The motor was fired for the first time Saturday morning. We have done 3 complete heat cycles and some break in passes on the dyno. There is a conservative tune in it right now... I am confident that a few track passes and some more break in time will yield another 15 or 20rwhp out of this combo.

The dyno graph below is an overlay of the customers original 346 H/C/I that was in the car. These pulls were made the day before the motor came out. This is a good comparison for not only peak power, but POWER UNDER THE CURVE.......

According to our 8 month old DynoJet calibrated DynoJet 224X the 4:56s are only allowing this car to hit 123mph.... We are hoping to have 4:10s installed before the end of the week so this 3760lb sled can make some full 1/4 mile passes Sunday @ Silver Dollar RaceWay. Stay Tuned

Congrats Mike, it has been a pleasure working with you on this build!!!!

A nice shot of the engine bay (Thanx ABear )

What can one say? Great job as always guys. I'll bet this customer is going to be as happy as I was. Now I wonder what an even larger cubic inch motor is capable of.......

BTW, them's some sexy valve covers. Hint, hint....

High-lift rockers maybe(Jesel)?

The numbers on you guys stroker motors don't seemout there with a high-compression TFS-head 416. They are very nice. The numbers out of the stock cube engines is what everyone is kind of iffy about.

Well Hell!!! That looks like it might just work!

It is peaking a little earlier than I expected, but considering the cam(my fault... I told them to keep it "streetable" )the conservative tune, and what looks like either a little ring flutter or lack of air up top, I'm completely thrilled with the low end power and how it carries to it's peak

I think you're right though Ron.... a couple few hundred street miles and some passes will loosen things up some.... the infamous Carnahan re-tune and we may just see a few more rwhp

There's always the Vic/Accufab if we wanna see what she'll do at 7300(hint hint)

Can't wait to hit the seat Sunday at SDR! Hope I can hook it

Tell Mike, Buddy and Charlie I said a big thanx for all their efforts. With wanting my cake and eating it too, I know I wasn't the easiest customer you guys ever had and Vengeance gave me everything I asked for!

There may just be some "bonus" envelopes handed out this week

tmoneyr007, gator....
Old motor went 11.44@124 at 3870lb race weight(with driver).
Vengeance lightened the car up a hair for me with this build. Hoping to see 3500lbs next time out.

antz01ta.... the 3 foot valve covers have the coil packs inside them

Thanx everybody! I'm stoked!!!

Thanx Granny! Yeah.... I hear ya. We don't call her the pewter pig for nuthin' LOL-
Honestly, if the car goes 10.30's ish on motor at current weight I'll be thrilled.

Have good suspension and drag bar, but feel like there's gonna be some trial and error with the hook.

Will be hitting it w/a 200 wet hit after some break in, but the plan is a 300 DP before the year is over.

We have a pewter pig around here that moves at 3700 lbs. Makes 450-460 to the wheels on our rollers and it runs 10.30s-10.40s in nitrous gear/tire trim (28s, 3.73s)

I think you have 10.30s covered easy

Looking at the graph I'd say yes, but actually don't know. Have no problem sharing specs if Ron wants to chime in-
