I have the same issue at that rpm under very light throttle. Barely noticable.

It's perfectly happy cruing at 80mph 2000rpm in 6th.

Fairless, does your car have a slight "buck" type feel when starting off in first gear? Mine does, and it is annoying as hell.

try leaving a light from a slightly higher rpm. say from 1500 or 2k and you should be fine. this is the only down fall to the big cam only cars under 2k. hope that helps, try it out and let me know

Your gonna have to live with it. Leave higher like Brandon said. I have the spec 4 so smooth acceleration off the line is really a thing of the past.

good luck, not to dampen the spirit of going to the track, but it may be to warm out for anything great.

wait till sept at the earliest to go for new bests. you def have mid 11s in the car as is!! take some wait out and watch it fall even more

lemme know how you do!!

I'm a little confused about this power curve. It looks like you're peaking at 6500RPM. 224/224 cams usually peak at 6200/6300. I would have thought that this 240 cam would peak way higher. Can someone chime and explain all the factors that determine where a cam peaks?

I think my stock intake has something to do with this.

Its not your intake.. Its the advance in the camshaft. Notice how it peaks fairly early, but carries power all the way out

Hold on

Looks like that Vengeance Dyno is not so high

Guys this setup with a Vengeance Ported Fast and Vengeance Prepped TFS Heads will go over 500 RWHP.

Someone needs to design a new cathedral port intake that outflows the fast and wa la instant 530 rwhp 348 forged ls1! ETP was working on a new cathedral port intake, but once the l92 came out they directed their design team into a new direction. Someone needs to test the TF heads or ETP heads with a Harrop intake. You guys know about the Harrop right?

How is the sound of the cam. Is it pretty choppy at idle?
