Default PRC 220cc 5.3L stage 2.5 ordered, how much power?

well, guys, i was finally able to order the heads after the nightmare i went through with the previous heads.

as soon as i get them, i will start the install.
mods are in the sig., and will be in once all is said and done.

i am hoping for the best. do you guys have a ball park idea of what i will be looking at?
just in case sig is not too clear-

above heads on 62cc with cometic .040" gaskets
SLP udp
SLP 160 t-stat
Lucas 42# injectors
Ported/polished, drilled hole TB
ported LS6 intake
catless dual exhaust with shorties,
JBA plug wires
CAI
FTI cam, 228/232, .612/.600, 111+3 lsa

i think that's it.

i have been waiting a long time for this. let's hope all goes well.

Bolt em' up and find out. If you allready bought the heads than there is really no reason in trying to figure out #'s at this point. Unless you're looking to set yourself up for a dissapointment (which is you usually what happens when you try to guess #'s)

I understand where you're coming from, it's pretty exciting when you finally get that part you've been saving up for, especially when it means more power. I'm sure I annoy the **** out of all my friends whenever I have a part on order.

lol

yeah, i am happy i am getting them, finally.
i had bought a set of heads from this guy, and he frigging lied about everything. so, since last year i had been dealing with that, until now. lost a lot of money.
now, i buy what i want!

it should be "fun" when i get them and do the install.

thanks!

Hey a local guy, thats a pretty good combo I would guess you power to be in between 430hp - 440hp, With a good tune. Add in some full length headers and a 90/90 combo and id guess youd see another 25hp -30hp. Good luck with the install. I have the same heads and a fast 90 / PTM 90mm TB that are waiting to go on.

that is what i would hope for.
i hear you on the long tubes. i decided on the shorties and added the catless midpipes to compensate some.

i wish i could buy the 90/90 combo, but i'll have to do with a ported intake and ported/polished TB.

when are you getting the stuff installed? who is doing it for ya?

you said local? where are you?

laterz

Well my car took a **** on me literally the day before my heads arrived, something internal. I'm gonna be ordering a forged short block and put my new parts on that. On top of the heads & 90/90 I have a new ported oil pump, TnT F2 nitrous kit, 85mm maf and a new camshaft going in, so it'll be a few months. But it'll be worth it, especially with the nitrous going on. I live in the S.E. heights of Albuquerque. As far as the install I'm looking to do it myself, maybe a shop tho, still undecided.

+1 on the 430-440 RWHP range. That setup would definitely stand to gain a good 20RWHP with a 90/90 setup.

that would be really nice! let's hope.

you are probably right on the 90/90 setup. right now, all i can do is port my LS6 intake and get probably half of that.

i hope you guys are right about the power range.

just a quick update.

got the heads after a week of ordering them! that was fast!

the heads came on a 63.5cc

the math changes the SCR from 11.35 to 11.13

question to you all, is that something i should be concerned rwhp/rwtq wise?
remember, i am trying to squeeze the most of what i have and can afford. to the point i am having my intake ported.

let me know guys. if it is that critical, i will wait to have them milled to the 62cc i wanted.

i start the tear down tomorrow early. wish me luck!!

thanks!

BTW, the guys at TSP are awesome!

Hand ported 853 casting heads that flow 299 @ .600 and 307 @ .650. You should be able to hit near 420 with your cam keep in mind you IRS rear end will eat a few ponies.
