Just finished a 02 Cam only!!!! Had a customer come in for a Lid,Stat,Pulley,Ptb,LT's,Ory,Cutout and a 02 LS6 Cam....
Car already had the LS6 intake on it...
6sp/4.10 gear car
Sae Corrected 389/401 threw a Cutout (REVISED 8/25/07)
I was shocked at the number...
Car picked up 21RWH just from the base 368RW we pulled before tuning...
Dale Cherry from Injection-Connection tuned it via EFIlive....
Who sez the 02 Z06 Cam package doesnt work
It was an 02 SS
Car already had the LS6 intake on it...

Don one thing I can say for sure is DALE CHERRY ISNT A LIAR...
The car made 368RWP/372RWTQ WITH THE CAM AND BOLTONS BEFORE TUNING....Once Dale tuned it made SAE Corrected 389RWHP at 6300 rpm and 401RWTQ at 4550......The TQ curve almost looks like a straight line,its a thing of beautiful....It picked up 21RWH/29RWT after tuning.....
We are very aware it couldve went higher with a bigger cam but this is the setup the customer wanted,A car with no lope and low 12/high 11 ET with good street manners....
I think he got what he wanted...
Before tuning this car it went 12.21@115 so will see how it does now

Something not being pointed out here that is probally being overlooked.
In a 02 Camaro the rev limiter is on before a Z06 cam makes peak power.
So once changing the cam and with no tuning the car would pick up peak power because it makes peak after the rev limiter would hit on the stock tune.
Congs on the new power. I am sure your real happy with the gas milage and driveability. The Z06 cams pull real nicely. Not a cam for me, but I am still a fan.

Sounds like a strong car.I've never seen a Z06 pull that much hp and those have the better heads on them.

It went 12.20's@115 in Oct. so will see how it runs this fall
I think Talon went pretty good with a setup like this in his Pewter Ws6 way back when but I can remember what he ran,Maybe if he see's the poast he chime in too...

my 02 went 12.2 with just gears,lid,pully's and SLP headers threw the stock cat back at Island dragway full weight and untuned. A trip to atco the same day would have been good for a 12.0
