Default 427 procharger F-1a L92 heads 858 RWHP

I noticed a lot of discussion about L92 heads these days and made a post a week or so ago but it got locked because it referenced a for sale ad.

Anyway, the car is sold, but I wanted to share the dyno graph for those that might be interested in using l-92's for a high power build.

This was with 14psi boost 23deg timing and water/meth spray
12.0 Afr

The cam is a Dave's Total Performance 219/240 cam.
The heads were hand ported by DTP before assembly.

I'm amazed with the 23 degree's of timing. We stopped at 16 degree's with a similar setup.

Your car could of made a ton more with a better Cam looking at how the power drops hard up top.

That's one nasty power curve!

BTW, I think they get a little rediculous locking threads around here IMHO.

Yeah, it's only 8.7:1 CR im guessing that helped.
I didn't want a huge cam. I was driving this car every day for about 3 months, and I loved that other than at idle you couldn't tell it had a cam at all.

How do you drive a car on the street with 625+rwtq at 3500rpm?

So Slowhawk, what cam specs would you suggest to prevent such a major drop off in power in the upper RPM's ??

I would add 20 degrees to the intake and exhaust myself, probably make the same power at 2 psi less and pull clean to 7k.

Big power but that cam was off. Look at how the power drops off big up top. BUt it does make a **** load of down low power, but its choking up top.

I wouldn't say that the cam was way off. It still made 750 when we let out of it.

It made 850+ and you could barely tell it had a cam. The power comes on early and pulls like a mother then you can shift at 6k or so and not have to ring it out.
