anybody have any ideas as to why my torque is so much lower? i only gained 30rwtq over my old setup that made 358rwhp.

I'll take a stab at it and say due to your compression numbers. I'll bet your DCR is fine but I'll bet your SCR is less then 11 to 1. Mill those heads and/or go with a thinner gasket and bump up your compression. I'll venture to say that if you get your SCR to around 11.4 to 1 maybe a touch more you will see a nice jump in torque. Most likely jump to 400-405 rwtq.

I have yet to really be impressed with ms4 numbers. I think you have good numbers but that cam just doesn't seem to work as well as the ms3. With tsp ls6 stage 1.5 and a ms3 my gto through a auto made 441hp 403tq through a loose converter.

Was this with your LS2 or your LS1? The added cubes from the LS2 would give you a 25 rwhp advantage over an LS1.

Your compression is fine, it's the 250cc Intake runners. I used these same heads on my old setup with a cam similar in size to the MS4 and put down 451/400. The power down low was kind of lazy but it pulled like a raped ape through the midrange and top end!

I sure hope you fly cut your pistons with these heads and that cam...

This was with my ls1 my ls2 has a small cam. 220/224 .566/.588 the ls2 has had 3 cams in it now and my 04 had 4 different cams in it.

sorry, but arent these numbers a tad low?

I was told with:

Tv3, 5.3 stage 2.5 heads, LT, TD, lid, t/b, udp, aluminum fw, and moser 12 bolt I can see 440 - 450 rwhp. isnt the ms4 supposed to give quite some more hp than the tv3?

Yes, but he's not running TSP stage 2.5 5.3L heads.

Huge Diffrence from the GM LS6 head and 2.5 those heads have 61cc I believe and made great numbers before.

With cam close to TV3 and TSP 5.3 2.5 Heads Patrick G tuned a customer's car that made close to 450rwTQ and 460+rwhp
you cant use milled heads with MS4 Without flycutting.

Great numbers and enjoy the car man.
