I was gonna say, why put a street friendly cam in it? Its almost the same price as a EWP and comparison wouldn't even be close.

im gonna say 380ish ...ive seen lots of bone stock cars dyno 320rwhp on this board...why is it so hard to believe he got 20rwhp from a lid and a tune....if you hit 400 you will be the 1st.....

you will need good stepped long tubes QTP'S seem to make the most power but expensive....
dual exhaust dumped at axle...
fast 90/90
ud pulley
lightweight alum flywheel..
electric water pump
and a very aggressive tune..
that might get you close the highest ive seen a bolt on car was 390 and it had all that....

d between 108-109 with headers it did 112.9 w/ full bolt-ons i think my car is capible of 375ish...those numbers are corrected by the way on a dynojet

I made 318/328 with only an exhaust cutout. Everything else was stock down to the paper air filter.

I think you could get 375ish with EVERY bolt-on a serious tune and maybe 380 with some dyno tricks like running spares out back.

First of all, I would never try any "dyno tricks". I want accurate power numbers. Second of all, the only dyno I use is a dynapack dyno which removes the rear tires completely and bolts up to the hubs, and then applys load via hydraulic force. Best dyno for tuning since you can load tune at any rpm you want. Also thw most accurate due to the direct link to the driveline. Every dyno pull I do is also set to smoothing 5 also, pretty much the standard for comparisons everywhere.

I Think A Good (and Ovbious) Point Is Every Dyno Is Different So Dont Focus So Much On The Exact Number Moreover The Improvemnt In Numbers...

If You Think About It My Car Dynos Say 280 Stock And Now 430 (on The Same Dyno) I Can Compare That Difference Much More Accurately Than Tring To Compare My 430 Vs Your 450 Because Theres Way Too May Factorys That Are Out Of Your Controll For Turely Accurate Readings On Any Dyno...

what you put down with lid and tune is pretty good. but remember the reason you prob put those numbers down is cause the factory tune wasnt 100% precise for where you wanted to be. When you do full bolt ons... you will be a tad bit richer from the headers, but tuning wont give you the same gains you had before since your pretty much spot on right now...

Id guess a max of 380-390 too... but I guess it depends on how effiecient the parts are being used... Anything that can be used lightweight though would help... flywheel, lower gears(3.23 instead of 3.42, although its only good for FI situations), good free flowing exhuast, etc...

full bolt ons - underdrive pulley = 359HP on my 98.

Headers + Tune brought me up from 306->359 43HP gain.

A cam netted me 21HP.

98 heads are holding my TR224 cam back from that 400HP number...

Dyno numbers are only numbers. If you really want your car to perform like it has 400 rwhp and you don't wanna tear the motor open, do some weight reduction.

the most your gonna see from full bolt ons is 365-MAX! the fast intake/tb setup is gonna be a waste of $ too, unless youre running a HUGE cam or youve got more cubes, its not gonna bebfit you anymore than an LS6 intake would.

RWHP from a dynapac should read higher. You do not have the resistance of the wheels.

with just a MTI lid and Pacesetter longtubes, i made 352/360 thru a stock catback. this was with my A/F at 11 to 1.... i could have leaned her out alil more. i have a 99 M6 still with the ls1 intake too. i dont think with all the other bolt ons i would get close to 400rwhp. i put my 12 bolt with 3.73s in and dual cutouts and she dropped to 344/356. i dont think youll get close to 400rwhp with just bolt ons....

The dynapack that I use actually dynos lower than most of the other DynoJets in the area, including A&A Corvette.

As far as getting to the 400 mark, after reading all this, I think it will come close (between 10 and 20 shy of the mark) So I guess I will have to order up a set of 1.8 roller rockers. That should put me right there with all the other supporting mods I will be doing. Im trying my best to match components as closely as possible to get the most gains.

Thanks for all the help guys, and if you want to keep posting what your cars are putting down, bolt-on only... Im enjoying the read.
