Default Disapointing numbers

Car is 2002 6-speed Trans Am
mods are:
-Magic Stick 4 cam kit
-MTI lid
-Flowtech long tubes
-Flowtech ORY
-GMMG
-TR55's
I'm only making 390/366 on a dyno jet. I cant get a copy of the graph (because it blew out of the t-top on the way home ) but the a/f's are right at 13:1 and theres 28* timing into it. Anyone know why people are seeing 30 more rwhp than me? Anyone reccomend any mods? (cheaper mods, I'm doing heads over the winter) I figured the car would make around 420-430 rwhp. In all fairness today was a horrible day to see good power, ex. dynoed a friends car two nights ago and it made 404rwhp, didnt change a thing and today it made 384rwhp)

to me that seems like normal real world numbers. I personally don't trust dynonumbers because they vary way to much from personal experience. Do you have a ported TB and underdrive pulley? Add both of those and you would probably hit 400rwhp cam only which is pretty damn awesome.

Another MS4 guy worried about his numbers. Hey man..just hit the track. The dyno is a tuning tool...its what she does at the strip that will really tell you how its running. I dont think those numbers are exactyly bad.

nice numbers none the less. The real question is how will it perform at the track. I suspect you will see more normal numbers at the track than you may get at the dyno.

one last thing. How does the idle sound on it?

If the #'s for your friend changed that much, its likely those are actual #'s, not corrected. Only guessing, but based on what you saw someone else's car do, you could be making more in better weather.

Ask the shop for the corrected numbers and to print you another copy. You likely don't have a problem.

I dont have a ported TB or pulley yet, but was planning on that very soon. The car sounds like its going to rape and pillage when its at idle with the GMMG (I have to get a video up soon). Thanks guys I thought they were a little low but well see how she does at the track.

Maybe I missed something. Is this a M6 or A4?

Nevermind. It says M6

ya get some idle clips of it soon! I always encourage people with the ms4 to get video up because there isn't much to find when you search, and they have one of the nastiest idles i've heard.

380+ rwhp is still pretty pissed off for a daily driver man. Run it and see how she does. RWHP isn't everything ya know! =)

numbers do seem low. a buddy of mine did 417 with a 224/224 cam on a M6 02 SS, lid, lt's y pipe and stock CME. i'll agree with them, go back get a reprint or dyno again. check out camscam also, he's from sac area and he has a magic stick i think . . . said something about he's in the nmbers for highest dyno number for a cam only camaro

Ported or aftermarket TB & a pulley should put over the 400 mark.

From what I've seen that cam just needs a good set of heads and alot more compression to get the most out of it. Big Cams with low DCR sound mean but don't perform so well on stock compression.

Temps in the building were 98 degrees and the humidity was waaay up (pretty wierd for October in northern Ohio huh?) He said it will make more power in cooler conditions but still not up around that 420-430 mark I'm seeing people hit with these cams. Maybe I just need some more bolt ons, aaaaaaaand do some free mods. He said there was a restriction some where after the throttle body, he also said the MS4 will shine with a good set of heads, which was my next step (after ported TB and pulley).

Yea I've been meaning to, theres only a handful of MS4 idle clips up and none with the GMMG. I gotta get on that this weekend.
