Default Torquer v.3 Reading a little low

2002 Z28 M6
Mods:
Torquer v.3 Cam 111LSA
PRC Stage 1.5 LS6 heads
QTP 1 3/4 Headers
Custom Mufflex Catted-y
Corsa Catback
TSP Lid
Thunder Racing ported TB
LS2 portworks Ported LS6 intake
Yella Terra Rockers
7.400 Pushrods
stock water pump and pulley
4.10 Moser 12 Bolt
Steel driveshaft
Spec stage 3i with billet steel flywheel
Tuned by Eastside

Car has a wicked valvetrain tick that increases with engine speed. I'm assuming that has something to do with the low reading, Eastside suggested diagnosing by putting the stock rockers back on over teh winter. I figured i'd post up anyway maybe someone had other alternatives. Regardless of the fact, the car pulls like an animal and revs fast as heck. I'm not one to care for dyno numbers granted i'm extremely satisfied with how fast my car is now, but i'd sure as well love to fix that tick. Any input?

What valvesprings are you using? Are these the older rockers or the new ultralights? Are the heads milled any? Measure pushrod length?

The torquer 3 is very similar to my cam. Big lift on the intake needs the springs shimmed to .050 of coilbind as well.

I'd try the other rockers & check preload, that definately seems about 50 low

i think its the pushrod length but i have no idea how to check. i bought a pushrod length checker, didn't know how to use it so left it to the side, and lost it.

the heads are milled only the slightest bit, .003". the rockers are the new ultralights and the springs came mounted on the heads as a package with the cam so i guess jason would be able to comment on that.

edit: i didn't check the pushrods, which is why i think they might be wrong with the milled heads and the aftermarket rockers. i'm pretty sure preload is fine because when i installed it, it ticked and when eastside installed it, it still ticked

Find your length checker. It sounds like you are short. I milled my heads 0.030" and I still needed 7.425" pushrods. Every build is going to be a little different, though.

Something is wrong for sure. +1 for ^ there too tkimrey. FWIW, I used 7.425 pushrods on my unmilled heads and a stock GM gasket and stock rockers.

I was thinking the same thing, but I think it may have been the dyno I was on. The guy that tuned it sayed he only put down 358 in his H/C SS but he still runs 11.80's.

thats interesting cause i have just regular 7.400 pushrods. i wonder if there is a difference between the two different heads we have.
