Those are awesome #'s/ traps for a 383, especially an auto. I'm hoping my 408 runs around the same times through my M6.

If I get close to those numbers with my 408 I would f...n sh.. a brick!!! That is awesome.

On another note...where will the 4.30's put you crossing the traps because you will windout each gear faster. I am conservative, I guess, but I would do some 3.90's and get a 4400 stall if I were you. Just my $0.02

Cam specs...LOL
It's in the 240's @.050 & has over 20 degrees of overlap. Not really that big, but not exactly smogable either.

If this was a dedicated drag setup it'd have 4.56's.
With the lockup in 3rd gear 4.30's @135mph will put it at 6800RPM using a 28" slick (growing to 28.5" on the top end).
4.56's would be 7250RPM.

what type of air filter works with that 105 accufab? In the pick it is unfiltered right?

It is unfiltered all the time. Its a track only car and I cant find one that I like or that will fit right without cutting more of the car up.

Yes those are good numbers. Its a race motor 12.5:1 on race gas, so I dont see why people are expecting or comparing to see those numbers out of a street motor though. Thats a nasty motor though, pretty sick!

Whats your race weight?

Can you or can't you fit a air filter? I need one to fit mine somehow.

I am doing a 408 AFR 225s 62cc 12-1 Vic or Super vic(if its out) with the Accufab TB and I'm hoping to make 500RWHP.

Ive never tried to fit a filter on, but im sure u can find something to rig on there. Ive had to cut out the whole cowl to get some room, but it would be pretty hard if I didnt cut anything out. Basically impossible to fit a filter if u dont cut the cowl.

raceweight was 3510 last time i checked.

On pump gas with 11.4:1 comp it made 512hp.....with a vacuum leak I found later. Went 10.56 @131 then. I even drove it on the street for a bit, so it wasnt a slouch on shell 91 octane either

How much work was done to the Vic JR and what did it cost? It seems like on more extreme setups the Vic jr is the way to go if you cant afford a sheetmetal intake

The intake was 420$ (i think) from Summit. Somewhere in the 400 dollar range. I just did alittle smoothing and some basic port matching to the ETP's. Maybe 2-3 hours of work. This intake definalty like the higher RPM's over a fast or LSx style intake. The graph shows it over 500hp from 5800 to 7000 RPM.

Not bad at all actually. I could drive it like a cam stab car all day, but the cops and laws here in CA are alittle harsh so I would get paranoid. The cage and harness are visible and every time I saw a cop I would freak out and dart down a side street. Not worth it, so I made it a trailer queen.

gas mileage wasnt that bad either, but who cares about gas mileage when u have 500hp?? If u care about that, then u should leave it stock

Thats why I went turbo even bigger power and full stealth capability. My ride is just as quiet as stock with the cutout closed.

Great set up! I getting ready to drop my 383 short block off at M&M machine for final balancing and getting checked out before we assemble it. It's an eagle rotating assembly and 97 machined ls1 block I got earlier this year. I'm putting it together with my afr 205's and Vic Jr intake, 750 demon carb, and T rex cam. it will be going through a coan th400 with a brake and a tcs4500 vert. I have no idea what to expect but I hope it does 500+rwhp.
This will be in my 93 mustang coupe. I hope the race weight will be around 2800#. I'm shooting for low 10's on the motor. And the following year I'm going to put a edelbrock plate system on it. Gunning for low 9's.

I like the short stroke big bore motors for making fast rpm's. But mine is the 3.905 bore, 4.00 stroke, 6.125 rods.

I will be having mike duke port the intake and massage the heads open a little bit. He his a very reputable head porter around here.
