Default All bore 383ci vic jr numbers!!

Took it out once since the new numbers and with a 1.65 60' (3.73 gears) ran a 10.63 @129. 104mph to the 1/8th. Im sure with some 4.30's it will pick up quite a bit more.

Thru an auto?

I don't think any of us realized this, as the numbers were high already.

These are huge numbers

Very nice #'s. I would love to see something close to that with the 383 stroker I'm putting together.

I like the power under the curve , nice combonation.

are you running solid or hydraulic roller? but definetly your combonation is really a reliable setup that makes alot of power without revving it excessivly.

I think you could use more head flow something around 230-240cc heads.

thanx guys...

The combo is a 4.060 bore with an offset ground crank at 3.70. Kindof a weird guinea pig setup but it turned out great. Yes its thru a locked up Rossler TH350 trans w/ Tbrake. This was going to be a nitrous engine, but I changed my mind now that it makes good power. So im basicaly working backwards.

I thought the same thing about the heads being too little, but I didnt want to risk losing velocity for bigger flow numbers. I do think the flat line up high is the heads though,,,,but its making great power so Im afraid to mess it up. New heads are too much $$ right now anyway. It revs quick as hell and really moves at 7K so im just gonna leave it alone for now. Only thing is I originally set it up as a street car so I have 3.73's (and 28" slicks) and im going thru the traps at 5200-5500 Rpm. WAY below my peak (6600). Its a hydraulic roller with stock rockers and Comp OEM lifters. simple really

Accufab 105mm was 500$

Funny thing,,,its now pulling 1.65 60' off the t brake!!! cause my gears and stall miss the curve so bad....lol. 4K im only making 340-360 hp. First thing is gears and maybe a higher stall if I need one. im hopinh for 10.teens or maybe even a high 9 on a miracle day

those are strong #'s for sure. Is the Vic Jr. ported or is it box stock?

nice numbers. The 4.30's and the 4k stall should work great. I love my 4800 stall with 4.11's through the th350 and 28" tire! I shift at 6500, and cross at 6800. New setup this time around.

You're just now posting the #'s?!? LOL
We designed & built that thing over 2 years ago, but as best my memory serves we used an Eagle stock Stroke crank offset ground to a 3.70" stroke with a 2.0" journal. SBC 6.125" Scat H-beam rods were used along with custom Ross pistons & taperwall pins. Zero decked 6.0L Iron block bored to the max & the pistons were cut for standard 15 degree heads cause that's all that was available at the time. The motor was designed to use the best ported stock heads available with high velocity 225-230cc intake ports. Before we finished the shortblock ET heads were making a splash. The 225cc heads may be a little small, but are a far better fit than the 240cc heads.

The Cam is a hydrualic roller....custom of course.

What is really crazy is that there is more in the setup. The shortblock is nothing special. Eagle cranks don't have radiused leading edges...nothing was lightened, no quality crank scraper used. Not even an electric water pump. With those mods & a Manual trans this motor would spit out close to 600RW.....on pump gas.

LSX's RULE!
