LS6, TR230 cam only- 440rwhp
I've been wanting to get on the dyno since I did this swap. It's a stock LS6 shortblock with stock LS6 heads from an '05 CTS-V and GM MLS headgaskets. TR230/224 cam, FAST/NW90, ASP, Hooker LTs, stock ported maf. I run on the dyno exactly how I race it so my comparisons are accurate. Dual cutouts in the Y-pipe open, shortbelt, 275-50/15 BFG DRs through a 12 bolt with 4.11 gears, Pro-Shifted T-56 w/ a Ram VDS clutch. Still running the mail order tune setup for LS6 intake and stock 241 heads, a tune would help but I wanted an A to B comparison with these heads.
First the old numbers with a stock 241 headed longblock, same exact mod list, same dyno. 413.5rwhp 394.5rwtq
Now with the addition of stock LS6 243s 440.6rwhp 414.9rwtq
The 440rwhp run was with a 10 minute cool down, the other 2 runs are right after a 45 minute drive to the dyno. I went from 11.2@123.5 to 10.8@127.1 at the track with the addition of these heads as well. Hope this helps with the 4 billion posts a day about LS1 vs. LS6 heads. Sorry no A/F due to my cutout setup.

Frost-I run a cutout on both sides of the y-pipe, it wouldn't be accurate regardless.
Thanks guys, I wanted it to be an apples to apples comparo. I think it worked out great.

Wow, impressive results. Do you think the 90/90 is helping out the LS6 heads more than it was the LS1 heads? Just something to think about if you are comparing the two different styles of heads since I would think in the argument you mention, a lot of those people are running an LS6 intake which won't affect the results as much.
Or I could be way off base. Either way, nice gains and sick times/traps at the track. Is your car lightweight? If not, you must be driving the hell out it. Congrats.

My car is fairly heavy, weighs in at about 3450. I'm sure the FAST helps the LS6 heads flow closer to their potential. I'm actually going to try out a ported FAST and some Edelbrock stepped race headers along with some aero mods and a tune. I would love to hit 130 in the quarter with this combo. The dual cutouts are great, I think they really help the reverse split cams shine. I do not have electric cutouts though, so for now I have to open them under the car. Here is a link to what my Y-pipe looks like off the car. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...cutouts009.jpg

99z28monster is correct, same dyno new operating system from Dynojet. If you notice the dates the dynos are 2 years apart. Car was down for a while

I have a habit of not trusting the pipe probes, even after seeing the same one in the pipes of over a hundred cars, same dyno, and my LM-1 in a NB hole. After all of these pulls, with the wideband on the dyno properly maintained, there is but a few tenths different between the two at most, though they are usually very close. I have seen the probe clamped onto one side of a cutout and my wideband in the NB hole and seen the same thing in probably a half dozen or so cars. Just wanted to let you know.
Those are great gains from the heads, you must be very happy with the result; I would be. I have seen a couple sets of Patriots that would be happy to have that number.

Thanks guys. All my runs are NA, my only power adder is my right foot....for now. It's a cam only LS6, I'm really happy with the gain from these heads. I must admit, it's exactly what I expected but I always set my goals high. I also have no butt-o-meter or SOTP feel so I need timeslips and dyno data to give me the real results. I'm always amazed when people think they feel a difference with an air lid or cat back swap. The TR230 has treated me great so far, I have no complaints. Next we will see what it can do with a 150 dry shot and then twin T60-1 turbos.
