Default Our latest 403....532 rwhp/491 tq

Just finishing up our latest. 99 C5. Heres the specs.
403 LS2
Eagle rotating assembly
11.5ish to 1 comp
Proprietary cam (big but not huge)
Caddy lifters
CM 5/16 pushrods
11 degree heads
FAST 90 ported in house
ported LS2 throttle body
yella terras
KOOKS 1 7/8s headers
ATI balancer
Aluminum flywheel
RAM dual disc
No EWP
3.42 gears
Stock wheels
TPIS mufflers
This was on the second pull. I know it says run 17 and up, but its a customers car that we had dynoed before, we're still on the same run file. It made 510 on the first pull. Hasnt even been broke in yet.
This vehicle is an on going experiment in cam design, as well as some other goodies.
For instance, we've come up with a combo to run yella terras on the ETP and RHS heads. With virtually PERFECT geometry. If anyone is interested gimme a pm.
Special thanks goes out to my good buddy Shane (1997bird on here) from Precision Systems, out of New Mexico.

Great results Ed on that stingy SOB dyno of yours. Looks like a nice drivable combo.

I really need to get a manifold on mine that works and some 3.42's.

Just kidding about the 3.42's.

I was hoping for more(like everybody does, I guess another trip to "The Great Disapointer"), but we will take what we get on a brand new motor(damn Dynomation program got my hopes to high). There is still more left in it, but will need to get some break in time on it. Ed really hasn't worked on it very much yet.

P.S. Ed thank you for all of your hard work and time on this!!!!

I finally got to drive my cousin's Vette tonight, Holy S@$% Batman!!! The tip in throttle response is outstanding!!! All you have to do is tap the throttle and it will slam you to the back of the seat. With the tires that are on the car (275/35/18 Goodyear's) in 3rd gear & 60 mph give the car 3/4 throttle and you will just anialate the tires.

With the minimal amount of time spent so far on the street tuning you can run 40 mph in 4th gear and have just occational surge of the cam present. At idle right now the cam surges between 850ish to 1100 rpm, but Ed will take care of that later, as he did some quick tuning so that we could drive it before I had to head back to New Mexico.

GrannySShifting, this is my cousin's only car that he drives daily. This cam is nowhere near what the majority of the people on this sight use for their 403's, we just happen to have a little bit of overlap in her @0.050" duration. It just makes Ed's job a little bit harder to do, but he will have that nailed down in the near future. Right now as is, it is pretty easy to drive in traffic actually (so long as you can keep your foot out of it).

Again huge props to Ed on everything, this is one hell of a motor package!!!

P.S. Don't take my first post on this thread the wrong way, please!!! I was just hoping that it would make close to what my Dynomation program was predicting. Which it has in all reality, non-SAE correction factors, exhaust system power loss, and the 5-10% accuracy descrepencey.

Don't worry too much about the numbers. Ed runs an honest if somewhat conservative dyno.

Congrats again.

Yeah, all we need to do now is get the car to the track for some numbers. I know that Ed's dyno was the lowest for numbers when we were getting a baseline on the old 346, 3 years ago. It has been a pleasure working with him ever since.

Hmmm. I guess you really do know how to tune a car. I like the tune you put on mine.

Yeah, she pulls hard all the way through, but you can feel the cam come on. We're gonna try a more radical cam in it. Should be much more peaky. Probably a higher HP number, but will probably kill the torque some down low.

I'm very fond of 380 ft/lbs at 2200 and 400 at 3k.
