I think if there is a cam profile that the LS2 prefers and will outperform the FAST it is probably so limited that you have very little chance of having that "custom" cam profile in your car. I have not seen too many posts where an LS2 outperformed a FAST but that is just me.

ls2curious, this wasn't for you to talk about your vast knowledge on how to make more power than anyone else with a mystery cam and a intake that your the only one left using. It was a mere comparison of what the car picked up back to back. Get off your damn high horse would ya, the poor bastard is getting tired.

After the install of a Unported Fast 90 and retuning the car make 410/407. Gains were from 3500 rpm and up. Nice midrange gain. Same dyno about a month apart and both were tuned to exact same A/F. 15 rwhp and 21 rwtq was more than what we expected for sure. Really nice power for a stock heads, cam, pulley car! I'll have the graphs up Monday, I forgot them at the shop yesterday.

John
I made 13 RWHP and about 15 RWTQ on a Mustang Dyno with the install of my $525.00 Pro Products 96 MM Typhoon . Saved a lot of cash on this purchase. with the money I saved I also installed a U/D pulley. The combination of both was still cheaper then the FAST with out fuel rails. I might have gained a few more HP with the FAST but my car would not see or feel the differance on the street or track I also have stock heads plus Cam & some bolt ons . 05 GTO A/4 ..
THANKS for the information about the intake. Have a good day

Not much cheaper than my brand new FAST. With all the hardware (minus the LS1 injector o-rings) I paid a total of $700 (including shipping). A used one could cost even less. Yes, bought mine from a forum member who never used it, just sat in his garage after he sold his LS2 C6 and bought a C6Z. Hard to beat the price for the gains in my case. The gains over my stock intake probably would have been around 20rwhp/25rwtq (if my ricer math is correct). Not sure if the Typhoon is made for the C6 though.

Yep, the FAST 90 does sell for about $750.00 with out fuel rails and the new Fire Wall protection plate. All in all it will be close to $900.00 with everything, I went with the Typhoon for better looks, strength and the larger 96 MM. I posted this info here to remind everyone that you don't have to hand out a lot of cash for a intake. There are less expensive options to the FAST with simular or = gains . Plus if you add NITROUS or a TURBO you will want the added strength of a alluminum intake offers. This is what happens when a plastic intake has a nitrous fart.

Thats why I searched around, it would have cost at least $900 plus shipping for everything. Good thing I never plan on a power adder...though a good tune would do wonders. Last two play cars I owned had superchargers so this one one will be n/a only.

You did the right thing. A lot of people hand out big dollars without doing any reasearch about the parts they are looking for. When I was looking for headers I went with PACESETTERS because of the cost and the fact that my HP gains would be about the same if I went with a $1,000.00 set of Kooks.

Have a great day

I wouldve like to see the car dyno the same day it got the Fast intake instead of a month apart but none the less it does show improvement

I have had LS2 intake on the Camaro and the Formula. We put a ported FAST 92mm intake on the Camaro (stock cubes, 11:1), and we'll see what happens. I'll try to redyno at some point but I want to head to the track first. I went 10.92@122 on a 1.48 last fall in nice air, hope to do a lot better. I also changed the converter so the 60 ft is going to be much better for sure (on motor). I dynoed like 415rwhp on the Speed Inc. dyno.
