Dyno Results. Formato LS2 vs Fast 90!
I did a FAST 90 install on a customers car yesterday. The car is a 05 C6 with Kooks, catted x, vararamm, and a LS2 intake ported by Jeremy Formato. Car made 395/386 SAE corrected with the LS2. After the install of a Unported Fast 90 and retuning the car make 410/407. Gains were from 3500 rpm and up. Nice midrange gain. Same dyno about a month apart and both were tuned to exact same A/F. 15 rwhp and 21 rwtq was more than what we expected for sure. Really nice power for a stock heads, cam, pulley car! I'll have the graphs up Monday, I forgot them at the shop yesterday.

Real quick, current mods other than my intake: Vararam, SLP 1.85 rockers, Kooks 1 3/4" long-tubes, x-pipe w/cats, Corsa cat-back and tune.
This first graph was right after I installed the ported vs stock LS2 intake. I also had the Halltech vs the Vararam. So there's a slight (very small) difference on the next dyno. Both dyno's are dynojets.
So this the before and after, FAST vs ported intake. My very first run, prior to tuning was 408.77rwhp/406.71rwtq SAE (smoothing at 5). This was my 7th run, with some tuning. Not much gains. Only difference, we went from 5 to 4 smoothing, just to hit that 410rwhp mark. I was at 409.77rwhp with the smoothing set to 5. It's all in the presentation
One could possibly say the FAST is worth ~17rwhp and 25rwtq SAE over the stock intake...at least in my case.

Nice gains. Supports what I've seen as well. Not a big fan of the LS2 intakes, ported or not.

Great comparison of the ported LS2 vs unported fast 90 !! Now how about you take the FAST 90 off and port it for a final comparison ?? How much more do you think she'd make from porting ???

On a bolt on car I would be surprised if porting the FAST would pick up more then 5-8 rwhp. He will be doing a cam soon, so we will do some unported/ported test then.

I dyno tested a pump gas 6.0 litre awhile back that was running a typical street cam in the 228 range, was fitted with our 205 AFR's, and a well designed 1.75 header. On the same day and the same dyno about 30 minutes apart we removed a stock LS2 and swapped on one of my ported FAST 90's. The SAME throttle body (a cable operated 85 mm btw) was used for both tests....the engine picked up 32 HP and 20 ft/lbs of TQ.....It was insane looking at both curves. It was over 40 better past peak approaching the RPM where you would shift the FAST equipped combo. Now granted a ported LS2 would have faired a little better but even if it gained 15 from the porting (10 is more common), thats still a far cry from the ported FAST results. I cant tell you how may times Ive turned down customers requests to have me port their LS2 intakes....I basicially advise them to invest that money in porting a FAST....its a far better allocation of their funds.

Great info here.
I would love to see more threads like this one.
The LS2 intake is similar to the LS1 intake in the fact that it SUCKS.
We have had several customer's want ported LS2's b/c of the cost of the Fast.
We have dynoed many of Jeremy F's ported LS2's with nice gains over the stock LS2, but have yet to swap a ported LS2 with a Fast or Ported Fast.
Looks like I need to talk one of my customer's into trying it.
