Default New dyno number, IM SELLING MY FBODY

ok so basically on a mustang dyno cam only i put down 383 and 372, with 224r cam full bolt ons and i am an m6, since i have added prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads milled to 59cc and true dualsi just got a call saying it dynoed 398rwhp on a dynojet and i didnt get a torque number..i am picking it up saturday so i dont have a graph to post. i thought after spending 2400$ on heads and exhaust i would havce gained more....any input?, im seriously considering just getting rid of it right now, its just so depressing after all the hard work and money put in

Mustang dynos are for turning, if you want numbers put it on a dynojet you could prob get right around 425. All that really matters it how it runs down the track anyways.

Don't compare dyno numbers, it will only depress you. Get some track times and you will feel much better.

My buddy just went throught he same thing. He got depressed with only seeing 350rwhp from MS3, NW90, PP 96mm intake, LT's, ASP, and 3600 stall on street tires (for the dyno). Car was running fine but after hours of messing with it, it wouldnt budge. He just bought a pullied 03 Cobra with 465rwhp. Dont jump ahead of yourself and do that but it sure can be depressing to say the least. Simply run the car and go from there. N20 is very cheap if youre looking for 450-600rwhp.

after the heads and exhaust it was tuned on a dynojet, thats what i dont understand, i put more power down on a mustang dyno cam only than i did on a dynojet with cam/heads , makes no sense

Why does everyone get caught up in dyno numbers?? GO TO THE TRACK! Base your numbers off MPH not a dyno

Do you have a good tune? I dont see it in your sig...

Fuel issue? Spark plug issues? Did the tuner adjust timing at all?

I mean really though 400 RWHP is not that bad man.

Well no doubt Speed inc. does good work so it probably wasn't the tuning.

Any fuel or spark issues?

It happens. The track times will tell the tale. I've given up on dynos except for tuning. You'll blast guys that claim big dyno numbers I'm sure.

Why don't you go back to that mustang dyno for an apples to apples comparison? Can't really dyno one place and then dyno somewhere completely different and compare the numbers like it was the same dyno/same conditions.

Also like others say, let your track mph speak not a peak HP number.

Dyno numbers are not good for anything other than comparisons mod to mod on your own car and for tuning purposes. You can't compare your numbers to anyone else's or your own expecations. In your case you used two different dynos, so you can't really even compare your numbers to your previous numbers. Don't get discouraged until you know more about how it actually runs

I've already been told by others with Dart225's that mine seem low, hence me not posting them. I'm waiting to get to the track, but even then, if you don't have a real rear end and the ability to leave hard, it won't be a good indicator. My last Z went faster the better it hooked.

Again, don't get caught up in just dyno #s. Ask them if they see any problems with the car.

I know, sucks to hear but i bet it runs stronger than what the numbers say. If you're mad at the numbers thing and overall performance you shoulda gave me alittle more $ and i woulda made your car put down 500+rwhp with a pimp turbo kit Boost is the way to go for bang for the buck
