Default Underdrive Pulley Gains (Realworld)

Well I am sitting at 398 rwhp and 389 Tq. with my mods in my signature, running through a 35 splined 9" with 4.30's. Will adding a 25% underdrive pulley push me past the 400 mark? Post some results with just adding a pulley. Thanks!!

You may or may not see the extra 2 on the dyno, but the UD pulley is almost ALWAYS worth a tenth at the track. Depends on what matters more to you. Beating the next car by a car length or satisfying the dyno goal.

More concerned about the track but seeing the dyno sheet go past 400 would be nice as well.

Better fuel economy is a plus, considering gas prices.

It would most likely push you to 400, plus the other benefits out weigh not getting one.

That's the only change I made on mine and I gained 7rwhp all the way across the RPM range.

does under-driving your accessories cause any problems? Does your AC suck *** now? or your battery run low?

You gain more area under curve rather than peak HP with a pulley.

I've seen a solid 1-2 tenths/1-2 mph from a pulley swap. I actually swapped one @ the track once

I ordered a powerbond through Byunspeed. Should be installing it tomorrow. I'll go to the dyno next month to see. I am also getting a cutout so with the 2 I should be over the 400 hp mark.

Yes that is what my dyno comparison showed as well. I think torque & hp were up well over 10 up to peak and 7-8 at peak.

With a cutout and a pulley, I would be SHOCKED if you didn't hit your 400rwhp goal. Keep us posted.
