BTW, the springs used were Patriot Gold Duals with 7.4" pushrods. Everything else is stock LS6 stuff.

Gotta love the smaller cams as when they are done properly they work very well and can make power like the upper 220 and lower 230 cams. Heck sometimes more
Ryan, thanks for all the kind words and glad it worked out as well as it did. Very nice package. Brian had the inside scoop on the cam since he was there and everyone probably thought he was crazy for saying 224/230
Like Patrick mentioned, it seems this cam area (224/230) hits a spot with the LSx 346 & 366 engines. I have been using the XER version on a 114 for a year and a half on a lot of NA, forced induction and even nitrous cars. Sometimes on a 112-113 for the M6 guys if they want more chop, 114 for the A4 folks or nitrous and even 115-116 for the FI guys. I would never say there is a one size fits all cam, but this if pretty close and the XFI lobes seem to work well also.
Best to all
Brian, I did call the warranty company yesterday and we are ready to set up moving forward. Talk to you soon.

SSAC Headers, which used to be known as the 'ebay' headers when they came out. IMO, they are a great budget header since they are cheap and alot of people have had good luck with them. They are not really known as the biggest header power gainers, but my research shows that SSAC is still within 5 hp of most of the other popular brands (15-20rwhp gain vs. 20-25rwhp).
My other mods include catless x-pipe, Borla Stingers catback, Blackwing intake, and an underdrive crank pulley. Besides the LTs, most of the mods are non-power gainers, but I posted them for reference.

I just picked up a LS2 shortblock with h-beams and Mahles. Patrick spec'd this same cam for me, but will be with a 111 LS. Will be getting some TEA Stage 2 LS6 heads for it also soon.
Should be a blast in a 2200lb sandrail.

Maybe Mike can chime in, but I don't think this cam should be any harder to tune than something like a TR228 or TR230. XER lobes still seem to be the norm, but hopefully these recent rash of awesome Patrick G style cam results will make these lower duration w/ XFI lobes catch on alot more.

And to answer "52172", yes the lobes will be harder on the valve springs versus an XER since they have a faster ramp and higher lift. Patriot Golds should do the trick. Alot of guys try to get more power by spec'ing larger durations, but I wanted to minimize tuning issues and keep drivability as stock as possible so I went with the larger lift and 'relatively' wide LSA instead. I'm not cam or motor building guru, but this cam seems to work perfectly for my combo and what my goals happened to be.
