sorry stock heads with an m6 and i think the compression will be 10.6:1, UD crank pulley, stock 3.42 10 bolt, textrailia clutch if that matters ws6 with functional ram air, ill get a ls2 timing chain, ls6 oil pump and also prc dual spring valve springs. If there is anything else im forgetting tell me
Thanks Brandon

I would venture to say you will prolly be around 450ish rwhp but your torque curve will be alot nicer than with a 346. Seems like most people say that having a stroker adds some power but adds alot of torque

+1... Stock heads aren't going to allow you to flow the air that is necesisary to really make that stroker setup shine.

383's seem to only really shine with some good aftermarket heads. Do what you have to, but dont do a 383 unless you have future plans on getting some good 225 small bore heads. Also, if you are dead set on the MS4 cam, it wont do too bad at all, but I am sure that TSP would inform you to run a cam more based upon the head choice and a 113 or 114 LSA, which is a bit more suitable for the 383. Ofcourse these are just my opinions that I am shooting out to ya.

Good-luck

These guys are generous..

With stock heads, I think you're going to be lucky to break 430. But your torque should be right there with it.

I understand his reasons and think its a good idea. Change heads when you can and enjoy the tq curve.

MS4 is actually a better choice for a 383 than a 346... The valve events are perfect for a 383 with an LSx-style intake.

With AFR 205s or TFS 215s and a FAST90 combo, you could easily see 490rwhp out of the combo.

Wouldn't the MS4 kinda peak early on a 383?

No. It'll still peak ~6200-6300. The manifold restricts the peak on these engines. You can go really late on the IVC to get maybe 6500, but with the LSx-style manifolds, you are really trying to hit the sweet spot of 6300 RPM HP peak and 4800 RPM TQ peak.

If your cam hits the sweet spot, then you'll optimize power under the curve without needing to advance the cam. When you advance the cam, you'll kill power after peak, which is not what you'd want if you want to carry your HP out to say 6800 or 7000 RPM.

The huge 346 cams, T-Rex, MS4, and G5X4, all carry power out longer, because they have such a late IVC for the 346. But, going with the proper valve events will give you the power under the curve and the ability to carry the power out longer. Plus, the LSK lobe on the intake of the MS4 is known to carry the power out longer due to the better curtain area (lift at .200" is better than comparable XE-R or XFI lobes).

+2 which is why I say he shouldn't see over 450rwhp.
