Procharged 02 Firehawk
I just put a d1sc procharger on my car and I was wondering what kind of power is normal for me.
I have ported 243 heads with a 232/236 595/ 601 on a 112+2 xer lobe.
I am running the twin intercoolers with a 4.25 pulley on the blower.
The dyno I ran on is a Mustang dyno, but is notorious for producing lower numbers. On motor before the install I made 356 hp.
I made the runs with the converter unlocked with the 12-bolt. Timing is at 19 degrees and my AFR was 12.0.
The car made 440 Hp and 400 torque. This was with 5.5 lbs of boost
I was just wondering If this was normal or is it a little under powered for what I have. I know the cam is not very good for boost, but I didn't know how much difference that would make.
thanks

I am not really concerned with dyno numbers, but I didn't know what I should be doing. I ran the other day at a short track and i ran a 6.90 which would be a 7.30 on a full 1/8 mile track. 60' times were in the mid 1.6 range.
I have a Vig 3600 multi disk converter
I didn't log my runs, but I would imagine that my IAT's were not great because it was hot and muggy outside.
I am really loving the boost so far. I never had to fool with the bottle pressure or anything, I just cranked the car and made a pass. I am going to swap over to a boost cam and put a smaller pulley on the blower.

We found out that I have had a problem with the boost all along. I had a little hole in a pipe and I needed some t-bolt clamps. I now make almost eight pounds with the same pulley. I just made sure the tune was safe for me now.
I should go to the dyno maybe next week
