Default 401hp on Stock heads

Well today I finally got my car dynoed with the cam. I'm very happy with the numbers. The cam I have is the TSP .231/.237. Also the dyno I was on is well known for having low numbers. Well here's what I got.

401.7 HP
367.9 TQ
Then I put the short belt on
406.5 HP
370.5 TQ
Also it peaked at right about 6,400-6,500 rpm.

outstanding numbers, them 02 cars really put down some power when modded. 401 with a 12 bolt and 430's is very impressive, now get a good set of heads on there and maybe you will be ib the 450 club

Thats great! That camshaft put it right where it should be. Was the before-cam 347rwhp through the 12-bolt also? That would be a 55rwhp gain, not bad at all.

231/237 .598"/.595" 112lsa are the camshaft specs.

Sweet brother. Think what it would have made using a stock rear with 3.42. What kind of RPM are you shifting at.

i put a base tune in it last week just to get it to idle and added a little timing pe and ve. we put it on the dyno yesterday and made 3 or 4 pulls just to smooth out the a/f some.

that is one nasty cam! it still wants to stumble and surge a little, but considering the tb isnt even drilled, i think its running quite well.

i am seriously thinking of this cam for my nitrous car to replace the tr224 that i put in last winter.

I'm just thinking this myself. Would this make for a pretty decent nitrous cam? Looks like it would!

excellent results! I'm glad that you're happy with it. I'm running the same camshaft in my '02 SS, and I LOVE it! I run just a bullet muffler now so I can enjoy it at each stoplight. With a 150 HP shot on the NX Gemini Twin kit, the car picked up .26 in the 60' and 1.45 seconds in the 1/4-mile! This was at our local track that has an actual altitude of 3,300'. The car ran a 10.85 @ 122.7 MPH on a 1.44 60' with 6,500' density altitude this summer, and it ran a 10.90 @ 122.5 MPH last Friday night on a lazy 1.54 60'. Needless to say, this camshaft LOVES nitrous!

We received more 231/237 camshafts yesterday, so we have some ready to ship! Feel free to give us a call or e-mail us if you have any questions. With this power on stock cylinder heads, 440 RWHP with a set of stage II Patriot cylinder heads isn't so unrealistic is it?

A friend of mine has the 231/237 cam with 918's and has put probably over 1000 miles on it with no problems so far.

When I dynoed 347 that was with the stock 10 bolt. Also I'm going to be shifting at 6,600.

Grats! I should get my cam in the mail tomorrow and be able to finish the engine assembly next week. TSP will dyno mine through an auto in a few weeks. Won't be hitting 400 but should be a nice set-up.
Always makes you feel better about a cam selection when you see guys all over the country using the same cam and getting good results.

We dyno tuned another cam only 231/237 car last week that put down 403rwhp. He picked up just over 50rwhp with the swap I am going to post sound clips of this cam tomorrow hopefully
