Thanks guys!

Yes sir - while we had the heads off, we went ahead and notched the pistons. The 62cc versions will fit without flycutting.

Sounds nasty, especially if Mamo works his magic on the intake. I don't know of any combos like this going together off the top of my head, but it'd certainly be a mean setup.

Very nice ! Now I do have to say this though, the torque numbers aren't too impressive, especially down low. Once she's moving they are pretty good but I am just not a fan of cams that don't make low end torque. I put down 490 rwhp 445 rwtq and I have a pretty large cam. Maybe my ewp and ud pully helped out a bit. But my point is I made 360 rwtq at 2800 rpms and at 3500 your setup on makes 330. Now with the 410 gears the 330 rwtq at 3500 will feel like a lot more. Anyways it just my opinion.

Let me repeat, I am quite impressed with the power she makes up top. Going to be impressive on the big end for sure. Now add the pully and ewp and lets see what she'll do with a little less parasitic drag. Great job guys.

Thank you guys for the kind words, the Trick Flow heads always seem to outperform my expectations for sure.

allngn_c5, it's tough to compare the two setups being that they're using different parts and in two completely different cars. Gearing could have a lot to do with it. Hopefully our customer will install a Pulley and an EWP soon and we'll be able to post some new numbers.

u/d pulley and EWP got me 14rwhp/15rwtq with just a little 224 cam. i cant say what the break down gain was for each, but you notice the difference, especially with the car running a constant 172°!

Joey,
how much relief did you put into the pistons? im runing 59cc heads (Patriot Stage II Ls6 heads), ported 90/90. the polluter has caught my interest...

Nice hp number. Would have been great to see just the cam swap. It's hard to compare the two cams used since the setups are completely different, but I like that 480rwhp number without the EWP, pulley, or ported 92.

Thanks for commenting. I know so many people on here complain no low end torque when you have great peak numbers. Then on the flip side you make great low end torque but run out of steam up top. You can't please everyone.

I will say it again though, very impressive numbers considering the car is geared and doesn't have a ud pully or ewp.

What would you guess the car will do if the customer adds the pully and ewp ? I'd expect at least another 10 rwhp, hopefully more.

Port the intake !!! Why on earth would he spend the money on the new 92 FAST and not port it ?? At any rate this car is making some serious power, and a solid 20+ rwhp has most likely been left on the table once the intake is ported, ewp and ud pully added.

CONGRATS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We notched .080" out of the pistons.

I agree, an apples to apples comparo would be nice. You know what they say: what the customer wants, the customer gets! This particular customer wanted Trick Flows, too.

The car is coming back next week for an underdrive pulley, we'll likely put it on the dyno to see what it picks up. As for porting the intake goes - meh. We ported a few intakes for customers and after dyno testing them back to back and seeing gains of 3-4rwhp, we stopped. It just wasn't worth the time, hassle and expense. After that, we swapped a Ported FAST done by a very popular competitor of ours onto a 42Xci stroker and saw a gain of 4rwhp.

That said - we no longer offer or endorse FAST porting. If a customer insists, we'll knock the ridges out and install it. Otherwise, it goes on box-stock.

so how much did this new top end cost the customer? the trick flow/ the cam and the tb/intake? just trying to price out dollars vs. power gain..

good numbers, no doubt.

i don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but the only common denominator i'm seeing with these *great dyno runs (various vendors) is the heads/intake combo.

i'd really like to see that same combo with an ls6 cam, just for *****. same 58cc head and stock 92mm intake, i bet we'd be surprised at the power available with TRUE stock driveability.

i think you could put a fiber-filled turd in place of an ls1 cam and add that heads/intake combo to it and make 425whp.

but once again, great numbers, as they should be given the investment.

they made around 417 with a cam only on stock heads, and ls6 manifold.

Yeah I bet it would be mean. I made an extra 85rwhp and 37rwt with AFR 205's, fast 90/NW90 tb and changed the cam from a 226 to a G5X2. Wonder if I could get a few more ponies with the Polluter?
