MORE F-Body Results from Tick Performance: POLLUTER/Trick Flow/FAST92 with an M6!
Andre has been a very devoted customer of ours for a long time. He lives in Rock Hill, SC and last year we did an MS4 cam-only setup in his gorgeous white 2002 Trans Am. The car has run very strong and done great for him, but when he heard we were releasing our own camshaft grind, he was one of the first to volunteer to help us test it!
Andre's Trans Am is an 02 model with ~79k on the clock. We removed his 239/242 .649"/.609" 111.5LSA camshaft, his stock 241 heads and his stock LS6 intake and went back with a completely different setup: Our Polluter Camshaft (112LSA)/Trick Flow 215cc Heads (58cc chambers) and a stock, unported FAST92/NW92 combo.
Both graphs show the car breathing through 1 7/8" Kooks Headers with 3" ORY and a Magnaflow with an open cutout. The car rolls on HEAVY 17x11 chrome ZR1s and sports a 4.10 gear in the rear. This car has all the bolt ons except for a pulley and an electric water pump.
Our Results? (smoothing is set to 2 to get rid of a spike in the graph)
Put the stock wheels back on with the stock gear, add a pulley and an electric water pump, and you'd definitely be flirting with that mystical 500RWHP mark.
What impressed us even more than our final results were the gains we saw. Here is an overlay on the car from last year with the cam only setup and now with our Polluter setup:
For any of you that may have doubted the performance gains possible with well put together top end packages, here is a treat for you: we picked up a whopping 74RWHP and 45RWTQ with our Polluter/Trick Flow/FAST combo over the previous cam-only setup. Those are just the gains at peak - check out the graph and see how the car picked up all across the RPM range. As you can imagine, the car is an asbolute monster - but it drives extremely well thanks to the gear and our flawless tuning by Alvin Anderson of PCMForLess.
Unfortunately guys, I didn't get to take a video of the car before Andre picked it up. I'm sure he'll be back around here soon, and at that time I'll snap some multimedia for you all.
I'm putting together some complete package pricing for the Polluter camshaft with a number of different heads - expect a thread in the sponsor sale section early next week for pricing!
Those of you waiting for track results from our Polluter, fear not - we're readying a car to bring to the LSX Shootout next week that'll be sporting the Polluter and we'll definitely keep you updated with results. That is an awsome gain from the Trick Flow heads and FAST intake! Im not a fan of TSP because or how I was done, but how would that MS4 due with the same setup? Cant wait till Memphis to see that Polluter get more attention at the track. BTW, the more I hear about going GREEN. The more I like the Polluter name.

Thank you for the kind words guys! Those were the best numbers for the cam-only setup. The car was definitely an underperformer based on the results of some other MS4 cam only cars. The customer was tickled pink.
I can't speak from experience for the MS4 results with similar heads/intake, but I'm sure it'd make good power as well.Yes sir, with a 4.10 gear.
Hopefully we'll have some back-to-back cam comparisons soon.
