Default Little help please

I know this is pretty stupid to ask and the plain and simple answer is to just get out there and race, but here it goes. I have a friend that wants to race me in his 96 GT his mods are a CAI, LT's,exhaust, BBK intake, and a dry shot of nitrous. He wants to race me with him on the bottle and me on all motor. I know he is only running a 75 shot and my mods are in my sig. We are very comparable drivers so I think we will be pretty even as far as the driver mod. What do you all think? Thanks in advance

hmm...i would say lose the bottle...it should be motor on motor or bottle on bottle. if he won't then he's scared. i think you could take him without the shot but with it is a little iffy. remember, best race is all throttle no bottle.

but then again u got the engine mods and hes got the bolt ons...hmm tricky...y not do both?

That is the only way he will race me. I know he is scared to run it bottle to bottle, he told me he was. We are just going to do it for fun, but he gets a tad cocky from time to time. That is the last thing I want to hear about all of the time

Just race him. I have a feeling you both will be surprised. Let him use the spray and you not, cuz if you beat him, then he really has no reason to be cocky anymore.

he cant win go n/a
it takes a 1998 gt full bolt ons and a 100shot 2 beat a stock ls1 by 2 cars at most. now i have experienced this i have lts and dual exaust and a stall. i went from a dig with this car and won by a fender. then the second time by a car. look at ur mods dont be scared this is a easy kill bro.

You'll get him. He's not even breaking 300 at the wheels. He's most likely around 275 with that shot. He weighs a bit less than you, but he also has 3.27 gears.

I dont' think you'll have a problem without your bottle.

I dont' think he's 'scared' so much as he is realistic. Then again, I dont' knwo him. LOL

I would never accept a race where the other guy wanted to spray but wouldn't allow me to do so. It's your call, though.

If it helps.. I put about 15 lengths on a bolt-on 98 GT the other day, no bottle. A 75 shot would not have saved him.

I'm curious....why? Even with the spray that GT is 'most likely' still down on power to a stock LS fbod.

Yeah the race is definately going to happen now. I was a little iffy on it, I don't care to lose. It was just that his head gets a little to big for his car at times. Thanks everybody, I will bring this thead back to the top when we get our runs in to update everybody on the outcome. Oh yeah, sorry for being in the wrong forum.

Positive. Ran him once, pulled a U-turn, ran again. He told a mutual friend that it was a close race. I LOL'd.

I'm not about making things fair. If I have a faster car, then why should I handicap it just to make things even? I'd never ask anyone else to alter their setup just to even things out for me.
