Low 15's to high 14's around 93mph depending on his launch. Tell him to get a tune and mid 14's are possible

I say 16s if he's lucky. I drove a 5 speed and it was slower than the new edge v6. They just weigh too much and the automatic with a v6 is just lame

Uh. NO.

The S197s aren't too heavier than the New edges and the S197s have more power than the New edge's with better gearing. They are high 14s, low 15s stock. On par with a 94-98 MGT.

SOTP means jack when it comes to actual ETs.

Um. Stop please. I ran a 15.09 in mine BONE STOCK with a 2.01 60'. The S197 V6 is quick for what it is.

[QUOTE][quick/QUOTE]

ha...you guys sound a little butt hurt. Do you have any idea how slow a 15 sec car is nowadays. Over half the production cars out now are running 15s.

It has nothing to do with 'butthurt'. It has everything to do with your ill-knowledged post. An S197 sixxer is NOT slower than a new edge sixxer.

That's the only point we made. WhoTF in here said 15, or even 14s was quick?

Honestly, why are you here? Do you contribute anything...besides your standard incorrect information?

Unit...this is bench racing ok?! Its not serious, so you and your ford buddies don't have to be serious all the time. Have a laugh...again..its a v6 automatic we're talking about here. I wasn't serious about the 16 sec thing, I was just poking fun..didn't mean to step on toes. Yea it will probably run 15 flat..so what? How fun would this thread have been had I not came in here?

I used to hang around the v6 boards when i had my 3.8 firebird and i don't remember seeing to many real impressive times. Those are just the times i observed. 15's were mostly what they ran with an auto in close to stock form. I never said that's all it would run. It is a 210 horsepower car with 3500 pounds to move. With an intake and an x pipe as its only mods I find it hard to believe it would run a 14.5.

I recently bought a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee AWD with the 5.2l (318) with 95000 Miles. And it really does run awesome. I Killed a 05 up V6 Mustang with it. I still have never had it to the track just to see how it does but im sure that if i would take the back seats out and do some exhaust upgrades it would be impressive. Just thought i would put my 2 cents in.
borrowed this from the street racing section...thought it was appropriate

I'm aware of that since I created this forum. It's not a 'run your mouth' forum.

Actually, it would have been better. That goes for every thread you post in.
