you can sell your TB/intake for about 400 and you will save about 150 on the pulley.. so thats only 150 more dollars and will be WELL worth it..
i went from my ls1 intake and ported TB to 90/90 setup and picked up 35rwhp.. stalled auto with stock 98 heads..
the thing is.. with that cam, they LOOOOOOVE to breath up top... the FAST setup with breath 10 times better about 5800rpms than the ls6 setup..
the ls6 setup pulls good till about 5800, the FAST pulls amazingly at 6000-6700..
if it were me, just because it is a big cam i would go with a better intake, if it were a smaller cam, then i would say sick with the ls6..
with that said, if you stick with ls6 intake 400.. if you go with FAST, 420.. low low 12s.. if you can drive, high high 11s.

anyways... if all your doing is a ms4 cam and tune.. i would NOT expect easy 11s if your just running 12.9 right now.. with some weight reduction and this and that you may hit it..
i would say if all you do is the cam and tune you should expect low to mid 12s.. probably close to around a 12.2ish.. that is if your still going to be the same weight and the weather is the same as when you ran the 12.9..
a cam and tune is not going to pick you up a full second..

What I was wanting to get at is with suspension tuning and driving, he should be 11s no prob with the MS4. And yes low 12s are attainable with a few bolt ons. And a good track. I dont remember the stats of the track in Seguien TX. Here in WTX Im almost a full sec slower.

but im going off of his times.. and im assuming that he will run at the same track, in similar conditions, and ONLY changing the cam and giving it a tune..
with that said, he wont pick up a full second... maybe 5 tenths... which would put him at a low to mid 12..
NOW! haha, if he ran that 12.9 in the heat spun a little and a horrible track... then when he does the cam change if its cold weather dead hooking and a good track.. that could pick a full second up or more.. making him mid to low 11s!
either way, good luck op!

you should pick up a second from a cam swap like a ms4 i dont know why you would think you wouldnt .. and if i ran a 12.2 or 12.1 with a cam like ms4 i would sell the car the very next day esp since im in the 12s now and the car had more in it than a 12.9 i just only got 2 passes down the track

I'm cutting 12.9s with a 1.9 in a 2.73'd automatic. Your car has more in it. What was the mph? With full bolt ons, six speed, sticky tires and the driver mod, your car should have bottom 12s or high 11s in it. Hell, I've seen bolt on, stalled, and geared automatics hit 11.9-12.2s. I'm not even including cams in the equation.
You should be potentially able to run with such times. Maximize what you've got before throwing more power at it.

You should get into the 11's no problem. You already have a 9in. and some good suspension pieces so you will be able to launch the car without worry. My car runs 11.70's with a 228R cam with no weight reduction, so if you can drive you should see 11's for sure.
I am guessing you should make anywhere from 400-410rwhp through the 9in.

yea your in the 12s....... 12.9
im not going off what your car "should" be running right now.. im going off what times your running.. and if the 12.9 is what you run.. your not going to hit 11s, if all things are exactly the same as the 12.9 run..

plus one on his last sentence.. you need to get your times down with your mods you have now.. you should be in low to mid 12s.. not 12.9X's..
plus you must remember, just because the majority of people are running mid to high 11s with the Ms4 cam doesnt mean you will.. there are stroker builds that cant get into the 11 hardly..
***going off of the times you have stated, and the mods you will be doing... just a cam and tune.. you arent going to hit 11s.... now if you go back the way you sit right now and run a 12.4... then yes you should hit 11s..
