Default i swore i'd never post one of these threads...

i hate these threads too, but i'm curious as to what other people think i'd run.

car is a 2000 TA A4 with 3.23's on street tires

mods:

-lid
-free mods(tb bypass, ported tb)
-ssra
-MSD wires/NGK tr-55's
-hooker lt's and slp ory
-magnaflow catback
-bilsteins all around
-slp eibach rear springs/hypercoil front springs
-phb
-ws6 front swaybar(32mm)
-lca's
-lca relocation brackets
-!EGR/!AIR/!spare/!jack/!back seat/!windshield washer fluid
-dyno tune(!TM, slightly higher shift firmness/points)

made 340rwhp uncorrected and 355rwtq

any estimates on what i'd run? i'll be running at englishtown most likely which has decent track prep from what i've heard. i'd be thrilled with a 12.9999 or 13.0 but i know that's a long shot and not sure how much my suspension will help/hurt. previous owner ran a 14.1 bone stock with a crappy launch which scares me hahah.

^ never saw where he asked what HP he had, maybe i need to re-read, but i'd really hope you run faster than a 14 man. i ran that bone stock in 80* hot summer weather here in phoenix. [that was at night it was 80]

haha yeah. that was when the car was bone stock(except a cutout) and in florida, so it was probably pretty hot there too.

yeah maybe someday i'll throw in a 3600 haha.

a 13.0 would be nice though. never been to a track before so it'll probably take a while to feel it out and get anywhere near that. expecting some pretty terrible numbers my first few runs.

Dude, the launch will eat your times. The way I do my launchs is when you see the third yellow, GO! Haha. By the time your foot hits the gas it'll be green. Go by this and you will get .2xxx and under atleast. You'll see low 13's at least with that set up, If hook up isn't to big of a deal.

I thought reaction time doesn't do anything for your ET....I have had several .0xx reaction times, and my ETs were actually not as good in the end, compared to others. I thought it was only bracket racing that reaction matters. Lights don't trip till the car rolls forward.

Not sure you'll see 12's on street tires. I think you should with drag radials though. See my sig (and that included hitting the limiter on the 2-3 a few times).

Take that off..... It will help you hook them street tires, if its possible. Oh, and take some air out too.

i've been considering the 555r's, just kinda worried the sidewall is too thin to handle well(i do a little autox), how do you like em?

will just unbolting the endlinks have the same effect as comletely removing it? or is it just the weight?

Get a STALL man! It makes a HUGE difference! I just got mine istalled last week and love it! Alothough im on street tires and its damn near impossible to hook... mods on the car are in the sig, close to the same as you have... cam and other mods are sitting on the shelf waiting to go in this weekend!

I always just took it off.... After the end links, you have the 4 easy bolts and its off.
That will help you transfer some weight on them back street tires you will be running. You will notice a difference.

ok cool i'll test it out. how bad is street driving like that? the track is like 45 minutes away.

and i don't have the money for a stall right now. the car is my daily driver so even if i had money for the stall/cooler i wouldn't wanna risk blowing my 90k mile transmission. some day though...some day.

Its not going to be bad at all, you might feel the front end dive a little on corners but thats about it....... I have left mine off, after some drive time without out it, you get used to it. I just wouldnt go to a road coarse with out it though..
