well he went for a ride then didn't want to race at all

he's working on a nice cammed stroker motor though, he has the block, cams, and some other stuff and is using the heads he bought from me

so I got a call from this guy, CLAIMS he went to a dyno and put down 307hp and 377tq with exhaust, filter, and 4.11s

is it just me or is he smoking something?

Uh...he's smoking something.......a ~Cammed, Full bolt on/plenum/intake will be putting down about that Hp....and uh, 307 with 377rwTQ......ain't happenin in a modular. no how no way. Unless he bottled it with a 50-75 shot with light bolt ons.........that i could see him telling the truth....light bolt on, tuned 50-75 shot...sure. that would explain the huge gap in HP and TQ.

Man he is spending alot of money for not much of a gain.

*shrugs*

just going by what he's telling me, he's one of those guys I just kinda nod and smile cause there's no point arguing...

I learned that back in the day when he tried to convince me to sell my brand new holley 670 street avenger for an edelbrock 600 on my old engine. Tried to explain a properly tuned carb is a properly tuned carb and I knew more about holleys so that's what I wanted but he swore up and down I'd gain 20hp.
