What to expect against full bolton procharged 04 gt?
guy wants to race when it warms up a little bit. its a 2004 mustang gt, full bolt on, no tune as of yet. the car is getting the procharger installed right now, im sure it will be tuned after he gets done. my friend has a 1998 t/a full bolt on a4, trying to find a stall to put in it before time comes. what kind of race do you think it would be, and any suggestions on what else he could do to the car, just to make him feel a little bit better about racing him.

The advice you game him is the best.. nitrous and tune. Tires will help as well. There's too many variables for the cars to make a real prediction. How much boost with the GT be making, tires, gears, roll race or dig.. etc.

but the stang has 373's and will be running 8-10 psi, and drag radials, prolly do a couple dig and a couple roll just to mix it up, i guess it may just be all dig, nobody around here roll races alot.

do u not think a good stall and full bolt on's could take it? and he's already got slicks and skinnies to go on it from a previous car he owned. that might blow a rearend tho. it's a high mileage t/a 150.000 miles

+1 pnyklr.
I don't see how a stall with ~330rwhp would make up a 70RWHP deficit combo'd with 3.73s and 3650 with DR's.
Personally.....I think it doesn't matter until both get used to the setups they do. The GT owner will be new to the setup/power.

im going to say that the mustang is going to be in the high high 7 area (1/8 of course)... and trapping high 80s low 90s..
of course there are MANY MANY MANY variables to consider.. you have a VERY narrow mod list for the stang.

i dont know it could be, have to check that out tomorrow. what would be the best way to tell besides just looking to tell if the car has had the clutch took out of it. would there be another sign pointing to that

if it is a 98 ws6 a4 it would have had 323s from the factory..
a base ta a4 could have 273s or 323s..
a six speed would come with 342s..
there is a sticky somewhere around here telling you what codes mean what on the door.. i would look into that some more..

No, he will be trapping in the high teens possibly 120s. Unless he can't drive to save his life, rape.

Personally, I think he's too new to the car for him to get even close to the potential that the car could have. So, it's too early for anyone to speculate the best case scenario.

Depends on power/work done, but generally, I agree...mid-high teens. If he's putting down 450+rwhp, he could very well trap 120+. Who knows?
