Need info on: 95 awd eagle Talon 23psi
OK guys, here is what will be happening soon. I am going to race this guy as soon as it warms up a little and wanted to know how bad he is going to get me. His car is a 95 awd turbo eagle talon plus eveything listed below. My car is a 00 WS6 M6 3.42: lid-85mm throttle body-85mm intake manifold-Long tubes-off road Y pipe-3" cutout-C6 Z06 cutout
His car: 95 awd Eagle Talon Usually runs anywhere from 20-23 psi (Boost)
Engine:
*6 bolt swap
*Balance shafts eliminated, New front case gaskets at time of BSEK
*Built Head w/ 1mm Oversize Stainless Steel Valves, Viton Valve Seals, Bronze Valve Guides, New OEM Springs and retainers. Also 3g "revised" lifters.
*ARP Headstuds and Composite Headgasket
*Comp Cams 101200 (similar to HKS 272)
*Big 16g
*SSAutochrome FMIC w/ short route piping. Punishment Racing J-Pipe.
*Evo 560 Injectors, Paxton AFRP w/ SS lines and fittings, EVO 9 Fuel Pump rewired
*Megan Racing SS o2 housing, 3” Downpipe (cat eliminator), Greddy 3” Catback
*FORGE BOV
Transmission:
*OEM Rebuild
*Fidanza lightweight flywheel
*ACT 2600 Clutch
*HD shift fork and OEM TOB
Suspension:
* Toser Fully adjustable Coilovers (Height, spring rate, and 32 way dampening)

So does anyone know how much his car weighs or how much power it should be making to the wheels. What MPH roll would be best for me to minimize the damage he is going to inflict? From what everyone tells me, this car is incredibly fast and he claims he has never encountered an LS1 that he didn't absolutely smoke.

bro i used to build turbo cars and thats a pretty good setup he has got there .. now every car is different but id say hes in the 350-400 hp range and good for deep 11s if he can drive
im not sure there is a safe speed to run him from he is all wheel drive so off the gate hes gonna pull you from a dead stop .. unless he breaks something and from a roll on you have the upper for your traction issue im just not sure if you will have the race for him them daam built jap cars are nasty when there done right man .. id say get him on the high way from a roll at about 35-40 .. that will require him to be in 2nd at a lower rpm so he will have to build rpm and boost before he starts making power you should have the upper hand till then but he may come by ya when he does build boost but race him all kinds of ways he may not know how to launch it ya know..maybe not tho he could be your typical ricer too id say race him f it ya know you ls1 could take him then he will look like a chump hahaha Ive heard that line before ' i can smoke any ls1' bull crap see if he can back that crap up go crack them cutouts open and mash that fugga to the floor your car is baddass man lemme know how it goes down

That seems like a pretty good setup he has. I'd say anywhere from 340-380awhp. The big 16g is a middle of the road turbo for a DSM. They spool quick and will carry the power to redline. With the DSMlink, I'm assuming he has a pretty good tune as well. I'd say your pretty screwed regardless of what type of roll your going to do. Who knows though, only way to find out is to race. I'm assuming he is one pump gas adn 20-23PSI with only 560cc injectors means he can't run too much boost or his tune is very lean. I would assume with a good tune his car should be around 108-112MPH traps. most likely around 108-110 though. Stock weight is around 3200 without a driver but most weigh in around 3150-3200 with drivers. I would assume he is in the 310-330AWHP range too.

try and find out when his RPM's would be low so his spool is poor at the start since that is where ALL his power is comming from. id guess best bet is a 40mph and hope the power of your LS1 will do better on top end in the upper gears then his 4 banger.

This is a just for fun race, but I just don't want to be completely dominated but from the sounds of it, it looks like it could happen. I hope I can at least be within 3-5 lengths of him when we end the race. I will let you guys know the results as soon as we get a warm day.

Evo16 is a great turbo but small as said considering the rest of his mods. I think both cars are pretty close powerwise and considering weight differences. If you are on street tires you will get roasted off the line as the dsmlink has built in things like two step stutterbox lauch to build boost off the line and it has anitlag to buid really high boost off the line as another option. Also no lift to shift built into the dsmlink .
He should be able to do a 1.6 60ft on street tires , you better be on nittos or drag tires at least.
So he would likely take an early lead off the dig again if you have normal tires and then you will be running him down. I think you would likely edge him out if the race went past quartermile. From a roll I think the two cars will be pretty close.

your best shot is to keep him low in the rpm so when you guys hit it he has to build boost and come outta that low rpm range unless that cars really beat and has a shitty driver as a owner hes probably gonna win but hey ive seen things happen before ya know in any case i used to build dsm ive had bout 4 of them but im pulling for ya man !!!! now go show that dsm how we muscle guys do things and kick that import azz ...!!!!

heres something you may enjoy that dsm on there is around that setup your boy has minus a few things but hes running a 16g at 20 psi but your boy has more mods and more power cant really compare to this cause we dont know what both cars have for sure just a cool vid

If he truly has only an big 16 and he is not on race gas I think the roll race should be close. As said going up from low rpm will make cause him to take a bit to spool up but an evo 16 should start spool up by 2500 and be full in by 3000 max.If he is in say third gear dependning on when you start the roll then he can gear down to get pretty much instant spool up.
I think the race will be close but don't really see why he should win from a roll.Now if he lied about the turbo...and his injectors are pretty small for a bigger one..if that is also the truth..
