Civic 1.8 liter wants to go 
I went to autozone to grab a filter for my oil change and the kid asked if I was the guy who drove the chevelle.
Asked if it had dual carbs and I told him no it was fuel injected. He asked if it was the fuel injection kit
and I said no, it's a ls1 from a 99 corvette.Him: "How many valves?"
Me: "um just 2 per cylinder"
Him: "how many cylinders?"
Me: "...eight..."
Him: "What kinda power?"
Me: "325rwhp on the dyno, put on a new intake and track numbers suggest 345+rwhp now"
Long story short he now wants to race. He said his car is basically stock with 200K miles on it lol, but he says "its a sleeper" and "it screams". "It can do 120 in 4th" and "a cobra wouldn't race him for $2000" but he "pulled him out of the hole at a red light anyway".
I looked at it in the parking lot when I brought my used oil back and looked under the front for an intercooler or turbo piping and saw nothing but a rusted stock looking exhaust pipe lol.
I'm thinking about telling him I'll race for $50 if he lets someone else watch and hold our cash. Should I feel guilty or try to weasel out even more?
I wonder just how bad this race would be...?

puppy kickin, but do it, it'll pay for your oil change, there's a guy at auto zone i go to always wants to tell me about how fast his chrysler LHS is. he calls me the wheel standing tire spinning preacher. (i wear alot of suits)

lol my friend has a 92 camaro with a lt1 swapped in (331rwhp/t56/4.11s= 13.0-12.5 second car) who used to work there, he's gonna get the down low from the manager tomorrow
if this kid is as full of crap as I think, we're going to run a train on him
pretty sure he said 1.8liter, he said it was "the smallest engine honda makes"...eh I plan on looking at it before the run and let him see mine...he better hope "it screams", I don't consider my car to be any kind of beast but I did manage 8.46@86.7mph in the 1.8th on the stock converter (2.1 60ft) in 2099da
the way he talked he thinks I'm gonna spin (it won't on any decent pavement until the top of first and only for a second if at all) and his fwd "puts enough weight on the front he can dump the clutch"

The smallest they make is a 1.5L 80hp motor, I know because I drive that beast for the DD and get 35 city and 40-45 highway with it. If he has a D series block and it isn't turbo you shouldn't even waste your gas unless you get some money from him. Unless he has a nicely built B series I doubt he will even come close to your car. Not to mention the are back half cars, most of them suck ***** for the first half, even the fast ones. LMAO at 120 in 4th my 80HP car does 105 in 3rd and more than 120 in 4th but I don't have enough power to see what it would hit, gears have nothing to do with how fast a car is. Kid sounds like a summers eve.

Hopefully last hijack of the thread.
That is insane. I didn't know there were 3 bolt on cars in the tens. too bad I like my streetability.
OP...sounds like honda guy doesn't know wtf he is talking about. b18b would be my guess. Which is...not that fast.
