99z28 vs 98 Cobra with ATI
So I bumped into a buddy I havnt seen in 3 years...I ask do you still have the 98 Cobra with the s/c? He says yes, im like I picked up a 99 z28 and told him I wanted to run him, he laughs and says "you better bring more than that"... He's not aware of the ls1 and told him they have 300rwhp stock and he had a shocked look on his face...I told him it had boltons baby cam etc. and he was still like bah! He was like, well my Cobra has 400whp blah blah blah. He running a 4V motor intercooled ATI at 8 psi upgraded injectors, mass air, headers, bassani exaust on 245 street tires.
What do you guys think the outcome will be? I think I will definitly toast his *** from a dig but a roll will be close.

Similar. slightly different flow rates in the heads and intake and the cams are a little different but similar power and similar performance in a car with the same weight and worse gearing. ponygt65 will come in here and put in his buck fifty and he really does know more about these cars than I do

Similar weight, he has better gearing and more gears to stay in his powerband. He could quickly make up for any spinning off the line. I dont see why you are being so cocky about it, his car should beat yours. Close but a 400whp 4v>360-370whp ls1. 4v's with bolt ons/gears run low 12s. So add 100hp to that.
