Question didn't know where to post

My father inlaw wants to run me at the 1/8 mile track with his r/t charger this weekend if it doesn't rain. I have a stock (LS1 98' T/A a4 gu5) will it be a good race? NEVERMIND THE NAME

I raced what people say was a magnum r/t(4 sure a magnum) and that **** gave me a nice run from 50 til' about 110. He also was on 22's and weights more than the chrger r/t.This car is not on anything but stock rims and is bone stock. I finally got fed-up enough and said lets run it at the track on saturday. He thinks that my firebird is a p.o.s. cause of the other one I had. (94 lt1 formula free mods,k&n filter, and straight pipe exhuast) it gave me alot and I mean alot of issues with the opti, and tranny went out to with the oil pump, and a bunch of other ****.: I really wanna SMOKE HIS ***!!!!!

There is a bench racing section in the racer lounge...FYI.

And if it's a REALY R/T stock..you should have no problem. YOu 'should be' a good .5 sec quicker in the 1320.

They have 350FWhp, but highway gears and weigh more.

It's kind of a common way to express it >_>

should I just leave it on 3 on the A4? I was told that I had broke my sprag in my (94' formula) from power braking in overdrive. Is this true I don't want to mess anything up in my (98'T/A A4).

From what I understand it's always best to leave it in D and let it do it's thing.......someone will correct me if I'm wrong though.

Right. 4L60E means its electronic, you will not be able to shift as quick or accurately as the transmission will. Now, with that said I will shift it into the gear I want to do a roll from when I'm stopped, floor it and quickly put it back into D.
