Don't get an auto. If you're anything like me you'll be bored as ****. Stick to a 6 speed with a 2-step.

eh not toooooo much. as far as vettes or camaros, if you don't use juice, you'll need a built motor and boost. built auto most consistent but you should be able to do with with a strong stick too. camaro would need at least a 12 bolt or a 9". haven't figured out what the vette guys do yet for the rears but I suppose if you have a turbo car it will be soft enough on the rear out of the hole that you could probably just use the IRS or even the 10-bolt in the camaro if you're in an automatic car. still trying to figure out what works best or find someone that has done it...

if you are on a slightly limited budget, i would say pick up a cheap f-body roller, 408 with an f1R or twin/single turbo, built 6 speed, 2 step, built rear, full suspension, and a 3.90 or even a stock 3.42 gear so you still have a lot of top end room to play with

can you do 9's with the stick though? either way you're gonna need a built tranny unless you do a z06 and take it easy out of the hole i suppose...

now that's what i'm talkin about. have people run setups like that into the 9's? can you find cars like that with a built 6 speed around? I'd rather do it in a vette if possible but I'm not sure how the IRS would feel about it lol but from what i understand you can replace the diffs in those with better ones and go pretty good. of course the f-body with a 9-bolt would be better, and i don't think you find too many vettes with 9 bolts lol

Well then Stick!!!! And you say how it will do at the track in the 9's depends on allot as stated. If you say have a vette your pretty good, if you have a camaro/bird YOUR SCREWED.. IMO i have seen few cars that go that fast with out evenutally eating a trans. Now since your building a car an if its a camaro/bird and you put a built M6 you got the TIT then..IMO

FMVB is my favorite. More fun that an auto. No frying rear ends and clutches. And even better on the street. Check out some well built cars launching on the street with a big stall.

76 or 78mm Supra, 6spd or a TT Viper, also 6-spd. Preference goes to the Viper because it will do that on pump gas.
