Another what will she run
98 ws6 6 speed 22,000 miles. Cat back w/ K&N's. I am an experienced driver (driver mod) hehehe. I also will be having the car dynoed. Any educated guesses? I will eventually add FULL bolt ons. Full exhaust/Intake/MAF/Lid/Gears/Stall.

Dont start sentences with "and". Lol ok im done. The first time up I plan on running street tires. I dont think traction will be a problem just yet. Ive ran a 4 speed L98 at the track before, and a 5-speed Camaro. I am hoping for anything around 12.8-13.3.

i would put 1/2 of the stuff in the thread into my sig if i could lmao, every time i thought of a good post- someone said it! lol
people hit 12s on street tires stock, so i dont think John Force will need to be called for this run lol
i say 13.2 with traction- its always an issue in our cars, no one ever told you they come underrated by 150hp from the factory? lol

that number of people who have ran 12's with just those 2 mods, is probably less than 15, across the country, and those were runs on low to negative DA nights.
Its possible but high unlikely.

haha yea some funny content for sure, but what do you mean by people have done 12's on street tires. . . with intake and catback?

and i always was under impression that intake alone got you solid 12.9x and exhaust got you solid 12.7 (at least this has always been my rule of thumb for ls1s)

Yea i know that. But i only have read about a couple people going 12's bone stock.
Most people run around 13.0-13.6 depending on rear gears, tires and DA.
I'd say the average is what like 13.3 as a fair guess.
So intake and just a CB dropping .4 off the 1320 time?
When assuming i always use averages cause there is just too many factors that can affect times.

when i look at times i try and standardize it, for example:
with looking at a dyno, i use SAE- if i see STD i figure its 5-20HP over while uncorrected cannont be standardized
when looking at 1/4 times, i use a DA correction factor chart, then look at the 60 foot- our cars can do a 1.6 60 foot with a perfect launch (on DRs)... using the math that .1 in the 60 foot= .2 in the 1/4, if i see a 2.1 60 foot, i assume the car can run 1 full second faster given a perfect run...
ive been using this math for some time now and all cars with similar mods run withing .2 tenths of each other- my method (in a very crude manner) takes driver error and DA out of the equation when comparing cars- i know someone is going to give me hell for this, but its fairly accurate when comparing times from 2 cars 3000 miles away from eachother

Well thats assuming everyone is a perfect driver in a perfect DA haha, **** if i looked at the times i ran then **** i ran a 12.66@106 with a 1.9 60' [thats DA correction]
So say i cut a 1.6 60' thats .3 off my 60' time yeilding .6 in the 1/4 mile if i go by your standards.
That would make my run a 12.06 @ 106 with a 1.6 60'.
I just don't like assuming everything is perfect, cause seriously when is it ever?
And if it did happen more often than not, im sure alot more LS1's would be in the 12's. I've only personally heard of like i said before a couple, and i mean a couple at best, in the 12's 100% bone stock.
OP will just have to let us know what he runs. . .
