You're also a moron thinking that a LS1 would beat a LS3. The car is maybe 300lbs heavier.

well gmhtp just got their hands on both a auto and manual 2010 SS and couldn't break out of the 13's with either. they did hit 13.0's with the manual though. but they even said that the new camaro is not far off from its predecessor, which i take to mean not quite up to the 4th gens.

Low low 13s will be a norm in the LS3s. Bottom 13s were not the norm in a LS1 no matter what anyone wants to claim...

well, i see alot of low 13's from 4th gens. tires and a lid get some into the 12's. i personally think it has alot to do with the driver. but in my humble opinion a 2010 SS should take a 4th gen SS, but on the street anythings possible

I have to say, I was at the track last night and watched a bone stock SS camaro run a 13.4. I have seen many stock LS-1's go that or faster. I don't think it's moronic to state that an LS-1 camaro can hang with a new LS-3. The new camaro is also 600 pounds heavier than the 4th gen for your info. I'm not arguing with the fact that the power and technology edge goes to the 5th gen, but when it comes to racing, 9 times out of 10 it is decided by drivers, not cars.

On the street from a dig the lighter car has an advantage. From a roll, LS3 would win.
