I got called out vs a gt500 Has anyone run a GT500 2006 model with 450 hp? Im not realy nervous about it, the car is stock as far as i know and on stock tires. I dont think the driver is to into racing so Im not sure about his driving abilities.
Right now my car is trex cam, pacesetter LT, true dual, volant cai, BBK TB, LS6 intake, nitto 55r's, thats pretty much it I think. I made 423rwhp at 6200 rpm. Im thinkin of a 55 mph roll where I can be right around 5500 rpm off the launch. What do you guys think?
I think the most I ever heard this car had was a intake, Ive driven right next to him and you dont hear anything. So its def stock exhaust

I've driven a GT500, and the only thing that's going to help you is if he can't drive. 1st gear in those cars is useless just about. So hope that he spins. If he hooks, I think you might be toast!.

i am really not impressed with the gt500's .. i havent seen one run better then 12.9x stock.. and thats in cecil county maryland which is a fast track.. i think you'll beat him by a length or so.. and if you think about it if you made 423 rwhp then you should be able to beat him pretty easily

That thing only runs 12.9? I ran a 8.6 1/8 when I was just catback and intake lol. I think a few of you guys are missing that hes a 2006 model with 450 FLYWHEEL HP, I made 423RWHP and from what I hear fbodies are lighter.

i really dont get how you dont think he has a shot.. he put down 423rwhp they make 450 at the fly wheel if you take a 15% drivetrain loss which is low that brings it down to 382rwhp estimate.. they weigh 3900 pounds with no driver.. i dont get where you guys are getting this idea

if he has an intake i think itll be extremely close and it could go either way dependin on drivers cuz hes probly laying down some more power but hes probly also 400lbs heavier than you

Im not sure if he has an intake, I know hes definitely stock exhaust. He treats that car more like a collectors kind of thing. Ive talked to him about it before and Im pretty sure he said he was 100% stock. Usually I wouldnt care about getting called out, but hes acting like a typical ford *** "Ill smoke that pos Trans Am" blah blah.

LOL he saw a dyno vid of my car and all of a sudden hes "going on leave for two weeks and then going to a school". I said what about a run right now, "no I dont street race" what about a run tmr night at test and tune at ohio valley speedway "no I dont run it at the track" LOL. I want to run him so bad right now cause uneducated people are saying "HE HAS A SUPERDUPER CHARGER".
