Default Should I race the Stang Convertible?

Well, here is the situation. The civic kid who used to date my brah's sister just picked up a Mustang GT Convertible (Kinda pisses me off cause he used to rag on me about my TA and my old 350 Chevy Vega) At any rate he is running his mouth all over town. Saying his car will stomp mine..ect..ect basically trying to start a pissing contest. He is pushing to race me now as he knows I have some big mods coming soon. My question is, with my current mod list below from a dig against a GT Convertible.......do I stand a chance?

EDIT: Hes a shitty driver (I have no clue if its a real GT a Auto or Manual. I am kind of in the dark on this one.) Race will be a 1/4 from a dig

EDIT2: I am almost 100% sure its stock except for maybe a CAI

58mm TB?!?!?! Are you serious?

Anyways..race him as soon as you can. I think it will be a land slide victory for you. But talk it up as if you think its going to be a very very close race. Then just obliterate him and afterwards say something along the lines of "Man, I think something is wrong with your car! I thought it would be alot closer than that!" Atleast thats what I'd do.

Should be interesting.. You seem to have a nice rear end setup with minor performance performance up grades.. Your best bet is to make sure you hook off the line.

6. "What would happen?" threads should be posted in the Dyno & Bench Racing Forum.

What year GT depending on the year it could be a landslide victory for you or a close run. It just depends either way race him hopefully you win then he will stop running his mouth.

Since I am going to race him as soon as the weather and roads clear up and I am going to provide a video. I think it is safe to assume its OK to post this thread here. As in the end there will be a winner.

I don't think theres a problem posting this thread here. I don't bother going to the "what if" section of this site. But if you don't post a video soon I bet it gets moved.

If its a 99 GT that means it has the 2 valve 4.6L ... as long as you can drive it wont even be a race.

I see your mods but does the GT have any mods to it. From a dig I see you winning all the way as long as you get off the line and not spin alot. A roll may be closer but I still see you ahead. Hope your weather clears up. It has been 60+ degrees the last 3 days so I'm stoked about that after having upper 30's for the past few months.

I saw the mods for the stang. I definitely see you winning this one you should throw some money on it.
