what i need to get into the 12's

Default what i need to get into the 12's

i know im not there yet, but what do i need to get there, right now heres what i got

1998trans am
SLP lid
SLP bellow
K&N
3.73's
shift kit
ported throttlebody
throttle body bypass
flowmaster catback
FRA mod
EGR mod
Hypertech III
ported maf

minor weight reduction like removed rear seats, spare tire etc.

i am adding my true duals and headers over spring break i havent had the time to do it because im still in high school and thats a whole day or two project.

You should be damn close if not in the twelves already. A LS6 intake, UD pulley and a Drag Radial are some simple things your missing that would do well for you. Whenever you have the time a converter is highly recommended for A4 cars.

Gettign rid of the flowmaster and going with the new exhaust is going to help ya out.

Biggest thing is getting seat time at the track every once in a while. Fast cars are useless without good drivers.

a couple people have said that so im glad to here i may be close now. and yeah the next step after the exhaust is going to be converter for sure any suggestions? and for some one whos still a teen imma pretty good driver ive only lost to a foxbody 5.0 competely built thats a low low 12 sec car.

get rid of that hypercrap and get a nice dyno tune, that will help a bit

Vigilante makes a nice converter but you should keep the end goal of the car in mind when picking it out or you'll be unhappy in the end.

Wait for a dyno tune until you are ready for it. If you get a dyno tune after headers but do a cam later your wasting money. Just plan out what you want out of your car and stick to it.

you should deffinately be low 13's maybe high 12's i ran 12.89 with sfc's, lcas and relocation brackets, phb, lid, descreened maf, 3.73 and the hypercrap with nittos

im only 16 right now my future by the end of my senior year,about a year, is to have a high 11 sec car. already im the fastest in my schoool superiseingly.

I think after the headers you will be pretty close....but my suggestion would be a cutout, LS6 intake, some Drag Radials, and possibly a mail order tune and you should definitely be there...

im an a4 before my 373's i had 3.42's and with a 125shot ran 11.97 on a hot day spinning outta the hole
