Default Need help please to beat a cocky ls1 owner!!

This guy has a 2000 trans am with the prc 2.5 5.3l heads with a 228r cam lift is 588/588/ on a 112, volant air lid, ls6 intake, 85tb, longtubes, with trueduals, asp crank pulley, centerforce clutch, built t56, Drag radials 555r, dyno tune made 432rwhp and 398tq

Im running him in a 00 ss camaro with hand ported & polish heads (241) mil to 64cc lighter valves with a 5 angle valve job has a comp 224/230 cam lift is 581/592 on a 114 lsa, SLP air lid, ls6 intake, ported tb, long tube headers, asp crank pulley, true duals with xpipe, spec3 clutch built t56, ON street tires, HAS a street tune so dont know numbers. I know i need to buy tires but what can i do to make sure i beat him or will it be a drivers race???

Probably a drivers race. Gears might be the quickest thing to change to help you out. If you do a roll race make sure you start out in your powerband to give you the jump.

race him from a stop its more of a drivers race that way.

Take a look under his hood and when his is not looking pull a plug wire off.

LOL He keeps saying he will beat that ss since its a budget build and is heads are better.. Im like ok that dosnt matter but im not trying to lose to a guy that dosnt even know his own car.

I just want to pull on him could but his combo he's running is really good. I think the camaro should be in the low 400rwhp somwhere.

Yeah his heads flow good and he is running 11:1 compression the camaro is like 10:5:1

or u could slap a whole row of tape weights on the inside of driver wheel on the day of the race lol

you can asked your local tire shop to donate the weights, say for like a school project. but all this.. is jst a thought

Thanks guys for the info. Yeah i might do a speed density or a dyno tune with the 390s and a set of mickeys..lol But maybe i should dyno just to see where the cars at

His dyno is happy so you are closer than you think. That combo usually doesn't make those #'s. Yes you need tires or you are done.....
