Default Hey guys, what is your guess on a time?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2000 trans am. A4 3.73 gear. long tubes, ory, and it has some sort of knockoff flowmaster muffler, and appears to have stock pipe other than that. Slp lid, kn filter. I think thats it.
A month or so ago it went 13.4 at 106 at atlanta dragway. Its my cousins car, and that was his first and only run ever. that was with a 2.2ish 60 ft.
Since then we added a ported TB, 160 degree stat, diablosport programmer, and we've dialed in the fuel and spark along with what we've info we've found online, and upped the shift points, lowered fan control, and all that. and added m/t et streets, same size as before (275 40 17).
So what do ya'll think it'll do? It should have gained a little power, but even if it didn't gain much those tires should drop the 60ft a good bit i hope. Thanks for the input guys.
i think at least 12.9ish or better

well, it went 13.1 and was about 1/2 mph faster than last time. And it was crazy hot, and it was a cool evening the first run, so id say thats a decent improvement. 60 ft was only 2.03. That puzzles me, figured it would be better.

well, nobody wants to talk so i guess i will talk to myself. All i have to say is HOLY CRAP! A stall is def the first thing an auto car needs. It made an amazing difference. Not the same car at all!

ok a stall being the first thing for an auto? Shouldnt you have the tires first? I cant imagine my car with a stall before tires cause my street tires are worthless with stock tc

It went 12.64 last friday, and a 1.72ish 60 ft. Thats was hot, running it as soon as we pulled up from a 40 mile or so drive. And stalling it up to 1500. The next run spun badly cause he tried it from idle, it went 13 ish. Tonight it went consistant 12.8s. Couldnt get good traction. Tried lots of stall points and traction was not good. Finally got a 1.84 60 ft but it was super hot. Car had been ran hard back to back. I think it should go 12.50. dont see why not. But the mph is still 105.5 or so. It didnt pick up any mph from the stall. Next we may remove sway bar and see what happens. It needs tuned i think.

Anybody have any comments or ideas? Think a pro tune will help any? Other than shift points, the diablo tuner did nothing.

a tune might get you just a little more but prolly not enough to justify the cost yet, have any way to check your air/fuel ratio with a wideband?

depends on what the diablo did...if it did nothing for your air and fuel you should be able to get at least 10-15rwhp from a good tune

well, we tried three different tunes at the track before the stall. All hot lapped. The diablo tune, set where we thought was right. We had spent a while on shift points anf getting fuel and spark right. Ran a 13.28. Changed timing a couple notches, and made the 2nd gear shift firmer, ran a 13.28 again. Then we installed the factory hp tune, and modified only shift points, to match the shifting of the diablo tune. Ran a 13.28 again! All three back to back. So i assume the diablo doesnt do much. We even tried some radical timing changes and nothing happened. It ran almost identical all night, regardless of tuning changes. Finally after a long cool off it went 13.17 and 13.15.
