I would say from a Dig you will definitely win but from a roll it would be closer as most of those hondas are alot better top end, also going from a roll will allow him to start in VTEC, opposed if you started from a dig he would have to get to his powerband since they have NO lowend power. I know everyone jokes about VTEC but it really does help. I had a prelude for a DD and from idle to 4k it was dead but after that it had decent pickup. Nothing like a LS1 but still decent

S2k's are surprisingly fast. A buddy of mine has one and it is quick! (not stock anymore and would lay waist to me though... ) He gave me a ride in it with a stock motor and I was really surprised by the power... I think with your mods you will probably be able to take him though...

I don't know about what you've seen man, but if you take care of your car and make sure it's running at it's best, that's what it should run. Lot's of hate here.

Completely Stock? Not so sure about that. I used to mess around with a stock SRT-4 of my friends for awhile. Then he modded it.. We were always very very close. And he was a decent driver.
Now have people driven them slower? Sure. You can go to a track and see people make 14s runs on lightly modded LS1 fbodies too.
The list Irunelevens posted are full of high 13 low 14 second cars. At least the ones I know of. Not positive of the S2000's abilities. Never see one around much that wants to race.

Grasping at straws with that one... "My car is older than your's and I still beat you!!" Sounds ricer-esque to me.

I like S2000s a lot, but the drivers in my area give off the "track star snob" impression whenever I try talking with them. Oh well... I hope I don't exude the "mullet" vibe when I talk about my fbody :/

S2000s can be fast but to make one fast really takes the right driver whos not affraid to drive it hard.
They have narrow power bands but short tightly spaced gearing so its possible to keep it in the power band.
S2000s have gone 13s stock too. With decent drivers clicking off low 14s isnt hard. Drive it anything less than 100% though and you'll end up with a 15 second car, which gives them a bad name.
Look at all the bone stock s2000s in the 13s

From a roll if the guy can drive (not likely) the lt1 has got a problem.
Off the line.. autos are easier to drive, and an auto v8 off the line should win or else you should be embarrased.
There is a lot of narrow minded folks on here when it comes to imports. From my car obviously I have some experience with both imports and american muscle.
