Considering Toyota Rav4s run high 14s nowadays, high 13s definitely isn't what it used to be. Race a '11 V6 Mustang and a '97 Z28/TA, and you would probably be unpleasantly-surprised.

So what you're saying is that the 17 year old tech in the LT1 has FINALLY been surpassed by some modern V6's? Good job. Also...what is surprising about a 300+ hp car beating a 250 hp car? Nothing. What was your point again?

Since when are LT1s 250hp? I don't even believe for a second that the LT1 F-bodies were 275/285hp when the Corvette was 300hp. The LT1 was a great motor (Optispark aside) for its day, and I am in no way trying to discredit it... but to downplay one motor (in a car built for a COMPLETELY different reason) because it only propels a car to the same speed as an older car is dumb. Sorry, there's just no other way to put it. Calling a 2000 S2000 "weak" because it runs the same times as a '93 Trans Am is just flat out dumb.

the LT1 Vette's had better flowing exhaust manifolds than the F-body's. oh and btw, the Optispark isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. yes, it doesn't like water, and the placement of it right below the waterpump probably wasn't the smartest idea. but they do last. i'm at almost 190k miles on my factory Opti, still running strong.

Geez, I have never considered an S2000 a race: track, dig, roll, whatever - I guess when they were 3-4 cars back when I was stock I just never thought of that as competition. Maybe I'm just lolh4x driver of the century.

That has a great chance of being my next car... Admiral Blue on red/black. When my mom had her automatic '94 Vette when I was in high school, a buddy of mine had an identical '95. He ran a 13.6@99mph at the beginning of summer, so I would think maybe a 13.4@101mph on a great day. There were very few LT1s quicker than that.

My buddy has a S2k and I think they pull really nice nice for the type of car they were made to be..
Now, I think it would come down to your set up and how good you can launch.. But, from a roll you should be able to pull on him..

Really anything other than low 13s is pretty slow now adays. 2011-2015 is going to make it even more slow IMHO.
