Yeah I agree with you there. New car + street tires vs you who knows your car + DR from a dig I think you have it

Wow did you really just do that? You are trying to compare a car that is 7 years older and it has no warranty anymore or anything vs a brand new car with less that 10 miles on it and it comes with a warranty lol

If you dont like the thread the don't click on it. Notice how you are the only one to come in here and bitch? The facts I stated I saw in person so once again you are wrong

Then why did you respond? You obviously haven't run one and you did the same thing we did and responded.... Yea you fail miserably so GFY.

Good day
HERE IS THE TRUTH ON MINE....

FUNNY THING IS MY Z06 HAS 9000 MI ON IT AND IS WARRANTIED TO 72 K OR 6 YRS. Oh and each car "IS WHAT IT IS !!!!" haha.

You still cannot compare a 7-8yr old car to a new car, especially when they are in a completely different class.

Once again i purchased a 6 year 72 thousand mile warranty. This is on a car that has 9 thousand miles on it.
I bought the car last week.

Enough already this is about the 5.0 ford on LS1TECH.

I ran a new 5.0 a few weeks ago, in my Mustang. Wiped the floor with him.

You're only running 11's right? Piece of cake for a 5.0 with very few mods.
Mid 11's.

Exhaust, cai, tires and tune are basic.
Blower, not even close to basic
Nitrous is debatable, but I don't consider it basic. Anything that has the potential to destroy your motor isn't what I consider basic.

It can surely make a difference. My auto netted a 15.2 on the 1st pass and a 14.6 once I figured out to shift on my own, and when.

Out of curiosity, was the warranty an addition to the 29K? I'd not have purchased it just because they rarely cover anything worth mentioning.

Nitrous is a true bolt on part/system and only takes a few hours.

A misfire can destroy the engine. Hard driving can destroy the engine. Lack of maintenance will. Time will definitely destroy an engine(if it's being used). I get your point and basically agree, but then...

Ok. It's kind of crazy, but mid 11's are nothing these days for street cars.

Do you consider a tune a basic mod? You should...because it is...and a bad one can kill an engine very quickly. I think you need to put a little more thought into
what you consider a basic mod.

Perhaps we have different opinions on what a basic mod is. Imo, a basic mod is something that is relatively cheap, easy, and safe. i.e. boltons. A tune is a basic mod and is safe if done by a trustworthy tuner, which is the only way it SHOULD be done. Nitrous on the other hand can be done 100% right, and still screw up your motor. As for a blower, well, that's almost as far from basic as you can get.

I'm not trying to fight with you, because I know you know what you're talking about. Chances are you've just been around more highly modded cars than me, and are just at a different level. For me, a low-mid 11 dd street car is pretty damn fast. Anything that's 10 and under as a dd is ridiculous, in a good way.

That's true, but I've just never seen nitrous as a basic mod since it's not constant horsepower. I've just never been much of a nitrous guy. I'm making roughly to the wheels what a 2011 gt is making to the crank. With enough nitrous, I'm sure one would beat me. But of all the people that are going to buy the new mustang, I doubt many will put nitrous in it if it's their dd.

ok, so a great driver got it down to a 12.3 on DR's.. it's still not a low 12 second car off the showroom floor.

same type of driver took a bone stock 06Z06 with DR's to 10.74 @ 129.5 but that doesn't mean it's the norm.. a C6Z06 is not a 10 second car off the showroom floor, even though it's been done.

Actually, that is the definition of what a car is capable of. The other times are what the drivers are capable of.

All you 5.0 fanboys need to take a chill pill. Have any of you even driven the new 5.0 yet?? Or is every argument you take on meerely based on internet facts of what other shops/ pro drivers ran?? The OP was asking if anyone has driven the car, not, will the 5.0 go 11's will bolt ons.

There needs to be no more threads involving the 5.0 at all because people just start posting all there facts of hear say and arguing of how this new 5.0 is the holy grace of any motor ever built. IF YOU HAVEN'T RUN A NEW 5.0 YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS RESPONDING TO THIS THREAD.

Is just amazed that people think you just mash the gas on an auto and can get consistent numbers every time. Are they more consistent that MTX cars? SURE! But it still takes skill.
