Default Heads/Cam LS3 vs KB Cobra

Who do you guys think would win? I think its a drivers race, obviously the cobra will put down more power. But the Vette has the weight and aero advantage! Im in the middle of a debate with a friend (mustang owner) over these two cars. so what do you guys think? I see the vette with a decent setup beating the cobra to the 1/4. but not by much

really depends on tires, DA, setup, ect.... really have to be more specific with car modded as much as they are. lol. but since its posted on tech then the vette hands down. lmao.

seriously tho. a kb cobra is nothing to fool with but neither is the ls3. since the heads on an ls3 are already badass i have to give it to the cobra. that is depending on the s/c size. pulley size, suspension, drivetrain, ect. i think you see where i coming from.

roll race, vette top end.

LS3 C6 Terminator Cobra

N/A powerband > Twin Screw powerband

3200lb curb weight > 3600lb curb weight

~520rwhp < ~650rwhp (what I've seen from most people with these setups)

I think it would be close but I would give the 1320 to the Cobra and the roll to the vette.

An N/A powerband will pull all the way through the powerband. Even better than a twin screw will. The twin screw will pull hard down low and mid range but will run out of steam quicker than an N/A car will. You can make up for it by using shorter, more aggressive gearing but it will still not have as much top end power as a N/A car with more displacement especially with a better power to weight ratio and better aerodynamics.

There's no possible way to give you an accurate guesstimate without further information about the mods done to each car. There are KB Cobras running 9.50's @ 145mph
and there are some that run 11.50's @ 125mph. The same goes for the LS3.

I disagree with your statement. Mine makes 600rwtq @ around 2,500rpm and it hold 600+rwhp all the way to 7,000rpm. We all know what the area under the curve looks like from a screw blower.
