Camaro LS1 Vs. M5 E60
What's our car chances to new M5 E60? This guy pull at the light next to me and when the light turns green he took off and his exhaust sounds like a rocket. I didn't go because I cannot afford having another speeding ticket, and that's the place where I got my last one.

They run mid 12s @115 or so stock.
They are particularly strong in the triple digits, stock with the limiter removed they are capable of 190+ thanks to good aero and great gearing, especially with the 7-speed SMG trans.

... well, I've gotta say go with your instincts. If you weren't ready to race, don't race. Period. You are unaware of the cars around you, haven't been pre-race studying the traffic flow and looking up ahead for cars hitting there brake lights, etc. that gives away a speed trap. You are risking not only a ticket, but a loss or even accident because your senses aren't up to speed and you haven't "Got yourself in Race Mode".
Smart move. If something doesnt feel right or you aren't fully ready to race then don't do it. However, if it bugs you or you find yourself questioning yourself like this thread indicates, then it's simple: keep yourself in "kill mode" more often. Force yourself to pay better attention to your car and surroundings just in case. It's not only a good thing to do to help you avoid an accident (which nearly always happen when you are distracted) it will also make you a better driver.

"MDrive: M technology at the driver’s disposal
Via the MDrive system, the driver has fully 279 combinations of control settings to choose from – and an MDrive button on the steering wheel that allows 1-touch selection of the driver’s preferred combination.
Here’s how it all works: Power and throttle response. Three settings: P400, the default mode, allows a maximum of 400 hp and gives ‘normal’ throttle response. P500, the ‘normal performance’ setting, allows full maximum output of 500 hp, with quicker throttle response. Both these settings may be selected conveniently via the Power button on the console, next to the shift lever.
The third setting, P500 Sport, also allows full engine power, but provides even quicker throttle response. It is selectable only in the MDrive menu on iDrive."
