Default 98' T/A vs stock 2011 r/t charger

My father in law just bought a 2011 r/t charger and wants to race. They come 370/390 bhp. What are my chances of winning? I had 308rwhp before the cutout and fully worked stock tb.

Correct me if Im wrong, but the R/T chargers are 13 second cars, arent they? I dont see why this isn't a driver's race. That car is MUCH heavier than yours, over 4,000 lbs IIRC

Charger 4200lbs
TA 35-3600lbs
It would be close....but probably a lose....A 98 STOCK TA sounds sluggish compared to a fully loaded srt-8...
To make it a fair race though, I would say a 2002 firehawk with slp option vs fully loaded srt.
That way you have the ls6, a lid , catback, and alittle suspension...

The OP said its a R/T not an SRT. Honestly I say you'll have him. Just race him and find out.

My mods are lid,ls6 intake,pp/tb with the rest of mods,LTs,free mods, cutout, and a dyno tune. I need to dyno the car again so I can have new #'s.

R/T = low 14s, high 13s

SRT = low 13s, high 12s

392 SRT = mid -low 12s

You should win.

The WS6/Firehawks cars were more a gimmick than anything, and not much better performing than a "stock sluggish TA"...

And Fbody's didn't come with an LS6...ever.
(except some GMMG cars...but theyre so rare theyre not worth mentioning)

This was the impression I was under lol, not sure why so many people think the 5.7 R/T's are like 12 second cars? They're 2 ton sedans people! OP should have him IMO

Justin i think he thought u meant LS6 engines, the LS6 intake came stock on all 01-02 LS1 F-bodies As far as the Firehawk it came, atleast mine did, with a Donaldson Blackwing lid, more superior to standard SLP lid and SLP exhaust which car was rated 345 h.p.

No the 01-02 cars did have an LS6 intake manifold, your previous post made it sound like you thought they had the entire LS6 engine. Sorry for the miscommunication. A lot of people believe there was LS6 f-body's.

No prob...I read the thread wrong anyway... At first, I thought I read srt vs 98 stock TA...That's why I threw the ls6 gesture out their.. Anyway I hope the TA does win...don't get me wrong the chargers are ok imao...but their soooo many cop cars around where I'm at with chargers for their patrol cars....I slow down on sight of a charger....kinda sucks to drive what the cops have...
